Very nice little dryer with the diffuser I really needed included. By the way, one-size-fits-all diffuser attachments suck. They fit almost nothing. Back to this dryer though. It is fairly light, compact and easy to use without arm or hand strain. I have several chronic autoimmune diseases, one of which being a serious autoimmune arthritis. When it flares up, holding anything in my hands is a big challenge, and holding a dryer up to dry my hair is very hard because of my arms and shoulders. This is light enough to hold it up longer and grasp it longer, before I have to stop from pain. It is really a great little dryer for me. I had an older Conair dryer that lasted well over ten years and finally gave up. I liked it because it was quiet; but it also wasn't very powerful. After doing some research about hair dryers and discovering that dryers with shorter barrels and with less tapering from the motor end to the outlet end tended to be quieter, I decided to take a chance on this Remington dryer. I am really glad I did. On the low speed setting, this dryer has about the same airflow as the high speed setting on my older (now expired) dryer; but is even quieter. And on the high speed setting, it is still relatively quiet but can blow papers off a table four feet away (i.e., it is very powerful). Moreover, the noise generated by this dryer is at a lower frequency than the high-pitched whine generated by many hair dryers; which makes this dryer "sound" even quieter. I also like the fact that there are two separate switches so that each of the three "heat" settings can be selected with either fan speed. Furthermore, the cord is a nice length, and the dryer appears to be well built. Finally, this dryer is also lightweight and attractive. If I could give this product six stars, I would. My wife has been jealously eying my new hair dryer ever since it was delivered and now she hates her high-pitched "screaming" dryer even more than before. As this unit does not have usual comb and brush attachments and at 1875 watts is much more powerful than the typical hair dryer I would hesitate to call it as such. However it is good general purpose drier for quickly removing wet spots from clothing and such. At its maximum setting, my cooking thermometer indicates 180 degrees F (roast lamb) coming directly from the outlet. This direct hot airflow should be held about 18 inches or more away from bare human skin. The medium setting reads about 160 degrees F and should be kept 12 inches away from bare skin. The low setting is not a hazard for skin burns. These comments apply to the maximum airflow setting. This Dryer is best for rapidly removing wet spots from clothes and towels. The high setting will convert a sopping wet spot to damp-dry in a few minutes. Thick seams may protect their interiors from the dryer. The outer reflective housing remains generally cool. Good blow dryer for the price. While it gets the job done, I wish it would blast a bit higher heat. It isn't super loud - fairly quiet. Easy to hold onto as it's not super heavy. Its a normal sized hair dryer. My only gripe is the rocker switch for the on/off - it's weirdly positioned and too easy to accidentally shut off. Read more

I'm not sure why so many reviews talk about this dryer being too heavy. It's of average weight. The buttons are in an odd location, but aren't really an issue. I just grip the dryer at the very bottom and it's fine. It's powerful, and doesn't get too hot. I have fine thin hair that is shoulder length and can dry it in a few minutes. I don't like dryers that get too hot, so this one is perfect for me. If you have super thick hair, I don't think this dryer will get hot enough for you though, or it could take a little longer for it to dry your hair completely. Sleek and great for the price! I needed to find a really lightweight hair dryer as I have arthritis in one hand from a broken wrist. I had recently bought the Xtava dryer to go along with their black orchid diffuser. It was just too heavy for me. This hair dryer is absolutely perfect. It’s super lightweight and easy to hold. The grip is good, and the impact resistance is great as I have a tiny bathroom and often bang it against the vanity. I have thin, curly hair so a diffuser is a necessity. This diffuser is good for my hair as I use the protruding fingers to lift at the roots as I dry. The on/off (off/low/high) switch is easy to use, and the three heat settings are great. Low is room temp, medium is warm, and hot is hot. Curly hair needs low or cool air to dry so this is all I need. However, I have used high heat if I need to dry quickly, and giving an occasional push of the cool shot button helps my scalp from getting too hot. All in all, this dryer is my favorite and I’m so happy with it. I don’t use it for blow outs where I might need super powerful high heat, keep in mind, but it’s great for curly hair that needs to be diffused and when the dryer will be held for a long time. I bought this based on reviews and am quite pleased so far. It feels and sounds like a quality hair dryer, but at the same price as lower quality ones. I haven't had it long though, so hopefully it lasts. I also chose it for the neutral color over the flashy girly ones. My husband uses it too and it sits out in our bedroom so doesn't stand out like some of the other crazy colors we've had. Read more

Very easy to hold. This is the prefect blow dryer to suffice your hair. It has three cooling settings and three speed settings which make it great to control how you dry your curls. The diffuser attachment is actually great as well. Not too heavy where your wrist starts to hurt. Great buy! Read more
