Wow. Ok so first off when I first tried this on, it was like my body instantly…deeply…calmed down. I don’t know what it was because I’ve tried so many massage items before, but this instantly relaxed me like no other massage products have. So much so that I had to take it off so I wouldn’t fall asleep right then and there! I seriously felt like I’d fall asleep sitting up on the couch at like 3pm. (And I didn’t even have it on the sleep meditations!) Ok, so on to the actual product. The outside is hard plastic and the inside is a very comfy foamy material inside a layer of leather-y material. The rubber band holds strong so there’s no slippage, and to prevent the massagers from pushing it too far off your face so as not to actually feel the massage. It massages two areas one after the other, first, a knob on each side presses down on your temples, the, two knobs above and below each eye gives gentle pressure to the eye area. There are different levels and the voice will tell you what you’re selecting as you choose each option, so no need to take off the mask to check what level you’re on. Personally I prefer the highest heat and deepest pressure settings. The included meditations are extremely helpful. There is a QR code to get 3 free months of Headspace, which is very nice given the usual free trial is much shorter (I forgot how much but I downloaded the app and it was like 7 or 14 days I think). I haven’t tried connecting it to Bluetooth yet but you can also do that and listen to more meditations from the app or even your own music apparently? So cool! The voice is quiet enough that it won’t bother others (they will hear it though) but you can hear it easily. Oh, and I tried it on at night time and accidentally fell asleep with it on. So it DOES put you to sleep. Unfortunately though try not to do this because I woke up with an odd headache (which went away within maybe half an hour, but still.) We love it so much we need to get another one already because my husband and I both want it every night! Read more

I ordered the RENPHO Eyeris Zen to replace my old plug-in heated eye mask, and it’s a huge upgrade. The cordless design is much more convenient, and it covers a larger area around my eyes. I’ve already noticed a big improvement in my dry eye symptoms and puffiness since switching. I love the soft protein leather lining. It can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent in between uses, making it more sanitary than the fabric mask I used before. The overall build feels solid and premium, and the battery lasts through multiple sessions before needing a recharge. I prefer high heat, strong pressure, and the tension relief mode, which includes both eye and temple massage. My wife’s favorite combination is medium heat, soft pressure, and the temples-only massage. The device automatically remembers the last settings used, which would be fantastic if we weren’t constantly undoing each other’s preferences. The ability to create separate user presets would be ideal, but adjusting settings only takes a few seconds, so it’s not a big deal. The built-in guided meditation tracks are a nice bonus, though we usually listen to music via Bluetooth. I stick to my playlists, while my wife enjoys meditation-style music with wind chimes and nature sounds from YouTube. Pairing the device with our phones was quick and easy. The massager itself runs quietly, and voices and music come through clearly but not loudly, which adds to the relaxing experience. I wouldn’t use this with the sound turned on in a shared public space like a plane unless I wanted to annoy strangers. It’s loud enough for others nearby to hear, but it’s perfect for home use. For context, I have awful migraines and am always looking for something that will give me some kind of relief or distraction from the pain. This Renpho eye massager is the most high end eye mask product I've ever experienced and I think it's worth the splurge. My head is average size and I'm 220lbs, and the fit was just right for my face even with my slightly larger nose. My husband tried it and it didn't fit his facial contours as well, so this may not be ideal for larger faces. I found it most comfortable to use when reclining slightly (not fully flat or upright). That way it was snug on my eye area but not pinching or pressing on the sides or back of my head which are trigger points for me. The features are excellent, the massage and heat is very unique and took some time to get used to but once I played around with the settings a bit I found the right setting that felt "good". The built in audio is an added plus and at first I thought it was a bit gimmicky, but it actually helped me get into a bit of a meditative zen and relax from the racing thoughts in my mind. The price point is quite steep but if massage and heat therapy in your eye and face area has helped you in the past, this is a no brainer purchase. I also use it as part of warm compress therapy for my eyes. After a shower when I'm moisturized I wear it and it's helped my eyes not be as dry (the warmth and massage increases circulation and oil production). Read more
