This is a great value. It doesn’t clean as well as the bigger version that needs replacement cases every 6 months, but it is self-contained and only needs yearly replacement. Further, it does a better job cleaning in 30 minutes than standard lens cleaning solutions on the market. Areas for improvement: The “button” on the front is capacitive. I find it extremely easy to turn it on unintentionally when trying to open the lens wells to take my lenses out. This probably isn’t much of an issue but it is troubling given this action is part of normal use of the system. The plunger and tweezers aren't disinfected each cycle like on the bigger unit. The plunger and tweezers also get in the way when taking contacts out of the case. No strap or magnetic component exists to keep them where they are in the case. I could simply throw them away but that feels wasteful considering they are nicely designed, just not needed by me for my contacts. Perhaps they could be packaged separately in sterile packaging? Then at least if they are needed in the future I would have a sterile set. And those that need them regularly aren’t deprived of their utility - it’d just require opening the package and placing in the case. They already do that for the replacement cases for the larger unit. For end of life, I’d like this to have a clear way to remove the battery for recycling/responsible disposal. The battery will outlast the 1 year service life, and it’s upsetting to know most people will just throw it in the trash like a regular lens case not understanding it has a lithium ion battery embedded that can wreak havoc in a trash truck or in a landfill/incinerator. I’d like that to be more obvious and easy to account for, but understand that’s not a high priority at this price point. The current administration also removed funding for battery recycling, which is upsetting given our lack of natural resources and the high recyclability of those resources from old batteries. Overall I really like this product. I bought it to use when traveling but ended up misplacing my larger unit shortly after this arrived and have used it instead until I find it. I do notice it doesn’t clean as effectively but that was known prior to purchase, and that doesn’t mean it isn’t sufficient. It does a remarkable job for less than half the cost of the bigger system. And i still prefer it to traditional peroxide or all-in-one liquid cleaning solution systems. Way faster and decent results. At end of life I’ll try to remember to update this review and report what happens when I try to remove the battery. Read more

It is very impressive the first time you use it. The lenses really feel like new. But in my case the daily use was a bit too much. I am using it every three days and still keep my lenses feeling clean and comfortable. Read more

Spend a little more and get the full size unit from Re02. The technology definitely works. The travel unit visibly removes protein deposits and allows me to wear my lenses longer without them drying out. But the design is flawed: the power button is on the front, and an accidental touch will turn the unit on. Even a drop of lens solution dripping across the button will cause the unit to turn on, and even though the instructions say you can turn it off again, mine won't turn off once it starts. Since the unit is rated for approximately 380 cycles, all those unwanted power cycles are going to kill the unit in about half the time expected. So, I like the technology, just not the design of this smaller sized unit. When this one stops working I'll upgrade to their full size unit. Read more

Efficient design, easy to clean, cleans my contact lenses better than just running them under water. Small enough to fit inside any kind of bag and does not leak. Read more

The media could not be loaded. It took me a while to figure out if this is working at all. The documentation doesn't tell you how the lights flash when it is in action so I made this video. when it flashes blue slowly, it is working. Do you see the little bubbles forming around the rods then get released? This means it is working. Once get over this issue, everything is good. I feel like my lens are clearer. This is a tiny little gadget to bring with you without much upkeep. Give it a shot! Read more

This is so easy to use ! The idea is that it has a light that sanitizes the contacts when inside you take out with the application tool put in solution to rinse them into your eye! This comes with the cutes case ! The cutest little tool! It’s definitely safe ! No irritation! This case is definitely good quality! I can put it upside down with no leaks ! It’s definitely effective ! My contacts are not blurry as well ! I actually really like this little guy! Read more

A lot smaller than I expected however it is an effective little machine and keeps my contacts clear just like it's advertised to do. It's the perfect size for travel and especially if you are out for most of the day and you want to refresh your contacts, it only takes 30 minutes. My contacts feel much more comfortable after they are cleaned or refreshed. I think it is a great value for the electrophoresis process it uses. I would like to get the stationary larger size machine eventually. Read more
