First of all this is a ridculously good value. You get 20 of these heads for about 65 cents each? The brand name cost about $5 each so of course most of us use the brand name one way too long with the bristles all manlged. So the first plus is since they are so affordable, I will be more likely to swap them out when they go bad. With 20 heads, I have 5-10 years of heads! In terms of the softness level I would say these are firm. The heads fit my Oral B brush no problem and I notice no diffence in the quality of these versus the brand name ones. I gave these a whirl and they brush my teeth well. I know I was concerned that these are brand name, maybe they will polish my enamel off, but at the end of the day, there really isn't much technology to a brush head. It is a bunch of bristles that come in various firmness. I don't normally buy the firm heads, but here is some advice. With power toothbrushes, you don't push on the brush head like you do with a manual toothbrush. You simply let the head glide over your teeth and allow the Oral B to do all the work. If you are bending the bristles while you brush you are pressing too hard. And when you brush the front and back of your teeth, keep the head 45 degrees to the teeth. This allows the bristles to get under your gums sligtly and clean out anything in those pocket. Read more
