It really is a fantastic rebuild of one of my top three games of all time. It gets pretty much everything it does right, but there are some fairly major sections of the original game that don't exist in this version. A couple that were favorites of mine to play through. Parts I would look forward to while replaying. Still, it's especially recommended to new players for the fantastic gameplay, with the further recommendation that they play some version of the original, which still holds up fantastically. From the moment I started playing, I was hooked. The graphics are stunning—every shadow and detail pulls you right into the heart of the action. It feels like you’re actually navigating through a creepy village, dodging zombies and uncovering secrets. Now, let me tell you, the scares are real! I almost pooped my pants more times than I can count! One minute you’re sneaking around, and the next—BAM! A zombie pops out of nowhere, and I’m pretty sure my heart tried to escape my body. What’s even better? There’s way more gameplay than the classic version they based this remake on! They’ve added new areas, puzzles, and surprises that keep you on your toes. The gameplay is smooth, and the controls are responsive, making it easy to get into the swing of things (as I’m frantically trying to remember how to shoot while also fighting the urge to scream). If you love horror games or just want a solid reason to keep an extra pair of pants nearby, Resident Evil 4 on PS5 is a must-have! Just be prepared for the jump scares—you might need those extra pants! Read more
