My husband and I bought a very large steel shelving unit, and wanted to put it in an extra bedroom. It turned out to be extremely heavy and I was so glad I had bought these furniture movers to make the job easier. Since we were moving it on carpet, we had the felt side up, and the plastic side down, and it was still heavy, but we were able to slide it into place. We bought the extra large ones, and after moving it into place, we looked at the sharp steel edges and imagined this unit cutting into our carpet. So we decided to just leave them under the unit, as we put probably 5000 plus pounds on top of the shelves. These sliders have bowed, but have held up under this massive amount of weight, which we look at as an investment in keeping our carpet protected and in good shape! Read more
They are ok. One already broke through and I have only had them a week or so. They are very big and really are for like a large appliance or something, not a dresser like I wanted them for. The plastic is a little flimsy, but they still do the job for the most part. They slid across the floor easily, but as I said don't seem to hold up to very heavy items. Read more
The sliding pads arrived quickly and do a better job than I'd hoped. This is the perfect temporary solution to address dampness from the leaky shower that soaked the carpet behind the common wall. Until I can get a crew to renovate our bath, these sliding pads are doing a great job of protecting the legs of our very heavy solid oak, expensive bedroom furniture from being damaged by the moisture. These allow us to make the best of what is not going to be a short, inexpensive project. When they've accomplished their mission, I will probably throw them in a bag on a shelf for later proper use. These make moving large heavy items so much easier. We had to paint a room and dreaded moving the furniture. We slipped these under the corners of items that would normally by a massive issue to move and the furniture just glided across the rug. I am not strong and was able to move the items by myself - definitely recommend! Read more
