I really like this, and I'm picky about my foundations. It gives a really nice glow. It didn't settle into fine lines. It blends pretty well and I've tested a lot of newer ones that didn't. I used my fingers and it would probably blend even better with a damp sponge. It worked really good on my under eyes and didn't settle where I didn't want it. I have very dry skin and usually that shows up in foundation but not in this case. The coverage is very natural looking. It can go on quite sheer or can be built up to cover something. It's not greasy. I don't detect much smell. The texture is very smooth. I applied powder over my foundation and then spritzed with a moisturizer. It looks good, very smooth. It lasted all day and yet removed easily. It's my skin but better, lots better. I even got a second shade to use as a bronzer. My only criticism is the bottle. I'm not a fan. But I'm going to ignore that. I'm not the best at taking pictures. I think this one is kinda yuck because you can see my mouth wrinkles lol. But anyway, here's a picture. This is a new skin tint from Revlon that has many nice qualities, so long as you are clear on what it offers (and does not offer). While described as a skin tint, or a foundation, it is much closer to being a liquid highlighter or illuminator. You can see from the product swatches that there is a good deal of shimmer. Mica is high on the ingredients list. It is a good value for this type of product because it has sanitary packaging and the excellent quality that typifies Revlon. Comparison: There are many of these liquid illuminators on the market with names like halo, flawless, glotion, glow, filter etc. I do think Revlon is a cut above because the shimmer in this is very fine and there is no obvious glitter. At first I thought 8 shades was too limited for a foundation product. But it is an above average shade range for an illuminator. The darkest shade should be adequate for deepest skin tones because highlighter should be somewhat lighter than skin. The coolest pale shade 100 is truly cool and pale. How to use it: The directions say to blend out one or two drops. That might work only if your face is wet from washing it and has damp moisturizer. The formula is blendable, but a little dry. There is moderate slip and there is no oiliness. Personally I think it works best blended in to moisturizer. You could also blend it with a skin tint or foundation. I go back in afterwards and add a bit of full strength product as a cheekbone highlight. Formula: It seems noncomedogenic and has a 24 month period of freshness after opening. It is lightweight and does not feel oily or sticky. There is a bit of opaque skin tone pigment but the mica or shimmer is dominant. It has a slight blurring effect but is too translucent to cover blemishes or marks. It is more sheer than most skin tints and very sheer compared to standard foundations. Coverage is not buildable to light or medium coverage because it is intrinsically a sheer product. It was more satin than dewy. Bottle: This comes in a compact and sanitary squeeze bottle. It is tiny but it holds 1 ounce, which is the standard size of most foundations. There is no dropper to get gloopy and no doe foot to collect germs. The sanitary bottle might contribute to the 2 year shelf life and Revlon uses preservatives. I found the bottle had a lot of control with dispensing each drop and the nozzle was easy to wipe off and keep clean. The labelling is very plain, in keeping with the skincare focus, but it might lack some of the elegance of other Revlon packaging. Mature skin: I am over 50 and found the product flattering. It has a blurring effect and subtle shimmer so long as you use it sparingly on moisturized skin. so i’ll start by saying as a pale girl i grabbed this in a darker shade in attempt to use it as a bronzer but i found it pulls a bit too orange for my personal taste which is what it is. in terms of the coverage though it is definitely very dewy — almost shimmery, and maybe bordering on being too much so. i imagine if i used this in my skin tone shade and all over i would look obscenely dewy and need quite a bit of powder to tone it down and away from shimmer face to glowing face. meaning — i don’t know if it provides that quintessential glowy look but rather shimmer. the consistency is lightweight and easy to apply and i noticed it does have a scent to it that is pretty much the standard makeup cosmetic scent, but a little stronger that i’m used to. i also felt like it wasn’t super buildable and kind of just is one note and a little difficult to blend out. overall i think it’s okay. the value for the size bottle will last quite a while but i’m not sure it’s for me. 3/5! The jury is still out on how effective this skin tint is when it comes to firming skin and filling fine lines over time, but after about a week of use, I do think my skin looks a little better. I am 63, so I am not expecting miracles, but there does seem to be a subtle improvement, which I appreciate. What I really like is how smoothly this goes on. It feels very lightweight and sheer, almost like you are not wearing anything at all. It evens out my skin tone nicely and does a decent job covering small blemishes without settling into lines. I ordered shade 100, and it works well for my fair complexion. The one thing I do not love is the sparkle. It caught me off guard at first and is not really my thing, but thankfully it seems to rub off pretty quickly. Once I set it with a little face powder, the sparkle is not noticeable at all. My biggest complaint is the bottle. It is very hard to squeeze, and getting the product out can be frustrating. The upside is that once you do get a few drops out, you really do not need much. It spreads easily and goes a long way. I am not completely sure yet if I would repurchase, but it looks promising enough that I will keep using it and see how my skin responds over time. Wow! This is beautiful! The coverage is really nice, and it gives the most natural glow to the skin. This is hands down the best skin tint I've tried. I had to use a bit of concealer in certain spots but it blended in so well. Highly recommend! Read more
