Very good item for the price. The base is plastic but nothing cheap or anything that feels like it will break easily at all. The main shaft is metal. The base and the part that hold the headphones are both pretty wide so its sturdy and can fit your more expensive headphones just as easily as more budget friendly ones. UPDATE: Will not charge my iPhone. When I plug it in, the lights turn off, no matter what cord I use. Also, it WILL charge other devices, except for my iPhone. I've tried every cord, even the original, and no charge on my iPhone.
