I'm an insulator, I use a 10in straight single edge knife to cut fiberglass. This causes my knife to dull after only a few cuts. I just pull my knife across the sharpener a couple of times, and it's razor sharp again. Best sharpener I have ever had !!! Read more

It will put a nice edge on the knife but it doesn't go all the way down to the end (handle end)of the knife. So over time you will have 1 inch or so wider then the rest of the knife. The guard is what keeps you from inserting the knife all the way in so all of the blade can touch the drum. Read more
The sharpener actually dulled the Knifes I tried to sharpen. I tried several to no avail. Read more
Didn't work as well as I thought it would. I sent it back. The stones are not replaceable when they wear out. 1"x 80" belt sander/grinder is less money, works better and will last longer. Read more
