The Maddens were nice looking but were a extreme challenge to put them on and to take them off. I got these for a Train concert and they’re seriously perfect! So sparkly and surprisingly comfortable. There was no weird smell at all, which I really appreciate since some shoes right out of the box can be strong. I usually wear an 8 to 8.5 and went with a size 9—they have a little extra room, but I plan on adding an insert and that should make them just right. I'm giving these boots a 4 because they are adorable, and will attract a lot of compliments. The price is extremely affordable, which is another reason they deserve 4 stars. I took one star away because the gems on the boots are glued on, not sewed. Everyone that purchases them needs to be prepared with a hot glue gun and a few extra gems from your local hobby store to repair and replace the gems that WILL go missing. Right out of the box, I had to fix three broken gems. Overall, the boots wear well and are the teeniest bit too big so you can wear thick socks to keep your feet comfortable.
