GREAT FIT, STURDY AND DURABLE, GREAT PROTECTION
I bought this armor to protect my aging body. I started ebiking at 64 years old and I am enjoying it all on Class 1 dedicated bike trails. Some are concrete, some asphalt, and some have areas of dirt. I ride all of them. I'm 5'1" tall and 110 lbs. Kinda petite. But I ride with courage and it must be in my blood (my dad and brothers raced motorcycles for years when I was a kid back in the 60's). No, I don't go crazy on my eBike but I wanted to put odds in my favor if I take a spill. (and yes I have a MTB helmet to protect me). EBikes can be heavy and it takes some strength for me if it goes wrong. I've managed well so far even after 600 miles. No chances taken, I wanted the best protection possible so I could enjoy my rides with my husband. I got a size small in this armor. The chest plates are great, a bit wide for my small frame but they didn't have a XS. Everything still fits well and there is plenty of room to go up in the body size. Plenty of range of motion. The fabric body appears to be seen inside out because the seam line is exposed throughout in the outside. I suspect this is to prevent it from rubbing against the skin if it were sewn with the seam inside close to the body. The mesh is not like some armored with a loose fish net. The material is real material, not net. But also noticed that even with armor on, it dissipates heat and I don't feel overly warm. I didn't expect that benefit. Five stars! I have full range of motion and even though the armor is snug end to end. The thumb holes to keep the armor from twisting in the arm is also a great idea. Overall, I'm pleased with this armor. If I had to criticize it, I would say that the right arm armor is sewn into the fabric and the right sleeve seems to have the forearm and elbow armor sewn a bit too much on the side of the sleeve. I have to twist the sleeve a bit to get it to guard underneath my elbow a bit more instead of along the side of my arm. I consider this a defect in the sewing job. If I need to, I can cut the fabric and resew it to keep the elbow and forearm pad where it needs to be - underneath to support where it is supposed to be. It still works regardless.
