When this first arrived, I absolutely loved it. The embroidered blue floral design is adorable, the ruffles are charming, and the colors are really pretty. At first glance, it feels special and decorative and definitely adds a sweet, feminine touch to a space. Over time, though, I have found it to be less practical than I hoped. The white fabric attracts dog hair very easily, which makes it look messy quickly in a lived-in home. It is also extremely tight on a standard tissue box, to the point where I would be concerned about shrinkage if it were washed. In addition, because it is not weighted at all, the entire tissue box tends to lift up when you pull a tissue, which gets annoying in daily use. From a value standpoint, this feels like a decorative item first and a functional one second. The cuteness is real, but it wears off a bit with regular use. If you want something purely for looks in a low-traffic area, it could work well. For everyday practicality, though, it falls short, and I am not sure it will be a permanent piece in my home. I loved the tissue box cover but it could be a bit bigger to fit over the tissue box. It was a tight fit. Read more

I have been looking for tissue box covers that fit the standard square size tissue box that is sold in the USA for a couple of years now, wanting to replace one that made from plastic that I have had for years, as I am just tired of it. I have bought several handcrafted ones that were on Amazon, but honestly, only one actually fit a tissue box, and the rest never fit, so were useless. This cloth tissue cover is a tight fit to get the Kleenex box within it, but I can get it on and it is hemmed to the perfect length. The straps on the bottom are about an inch too short to actually fasten them together, but they really are unneeded, as there is very little risk of the box falling out of the cover if you picked it up. The straps were finished with velcro (or its generic) on their edges. I just tucked the straps inside the cover, so they weren't left dangling. The embroidery, which is only on the front, is extremely well done. It looks to have been done by machine, possibly with some added accents done by hand after. The entire cover has been lined with the same fabric, and its edges accented by matching piping on the top and near the bottom ruffled hem. I have to say the seamstress who made this tissue cover is extremely proficient in her work. This material used is 100% summer weight cotton, and must have a high thread count, as the fabric is ultra smooth to the touch. Honestly, my only concern is that the cover not shrink when it has to be washed, as it really doesn't have much room available to shrink and still fit, unless my Kleenex box goes on a diet. I wanted to like this tissue box cover more than I did. I am totally into covering up tissue boxes. Apparently that happens when you become a grandmother. Unfortunately, while the fabric is nice and sturdy, and the embroidery of the Christmas tree is nice, there are little problems with how it fits and looks overall. The number one problem is that the Christmas tree is not centered in the middle of the panel, it is slightly off to the side. That ruins the way it looks because all I can see is the misplaced Christmas tree. I was willing to put up with the ruffle, although it’s not necessary, but it is a slightly different color than the body. The body is a nice bright white and the ruffle is slightly off-white. It makes it look like the ruffle is dirty. Finally, it has little unnecessary tabs on the bottom that don’t close. You don’t need tabs on the bottom because it fits over the box tight enough to hold it in place. But if it is going to have tabs, they need to close. Read more
