There isn't a comparison between these castors and the stock plastic wheels chairs come with. These roll without any resistance. They're quiet. I suspect they might even work for downhill chair racing. I'm too old for that, so I'll pass. The old wheels were 30 years old and just came right off. These were a snap to install. It was done in just a couple of minutes. Read more
So my boss actually laughed at me when I bought this because she said I was gonna be flying all over the office, however there is a rug corner right up under my desk and every single wheel that we would buy to go on my chair with lift the rug up or squish it or smoosh it, but this goes right over the rug with ease. They were very easy to install. It’s high-quality. I feel like the floors are more protected with this product than any of those plastic wheels that come on the chairs and they roll so smoothly and glad so easily. They’re very quiet. They don’t make that usual crunching sound when moving around and they’re very fast. The roll speed is very fast. But not to the point where it’s awkward. Read more
Very high quality replacement casters. So much better than original on chair. Heavy duty, completely quiet when moving, actually raises height of chair about an inch (great for tall folks like me!) AND they don't mark up the floor. This is my 4th set and all 4 chairs still roll smoothly and quietly. Read more
I cannot believe for a second that it took me so long to A) realize I could simply just change the wheels on my office chair and B) to just do it! Only when my husbands office chair in the garage which had a couple non functioning wheels for a long time, and I decided to just go on Amazon and order new ones, did I think that I should and could do that for my own chair. And boy am i ecstatic that i did. I chose this style as opposed to the common style for office chairs or the new roller blade wheel style because I wanted something that sort of matches the typical office chair style wheel, sort of, but closely enough. These glide noiselessly and smoothly. Before, without fail, i would have to shift my body in 3 different directions to get the old wheels to figure out which way i wanted to go and then to go there! Now I can move about my office (on vinyl wood-LIKE tongue and groove planks) without disturbing my lab mix sleeping beneath my feet under my desk. I can also now get up, go run to the bathroom without a sound that would wake that same dog up when sleeping upstairs..... so i can "take care of business" without him running down to that bathroom to see what i was doing and ask for another treat. (And to check the last few boxes, there is no way these will mark up any floor, they appear to be of superb quality and i have to assume that all 130# of me (plus probably another 200#) would easily be accommodated by these wheels. One word of warning...they may take a little getting used to. On the first day i could see how these MIGHT be dangerous because they flow so effortlessly that you have to learn to make small movements or you might crash yourself into something. :) Read more
Just replaced my chairs wheels because they were starting to stick and not roll very well. I was afraid they were going to scratch our floor. Not mention I've resurrected this chair for the 3rd time ...I'M NOT BUYING A NEW ONE UNTIL IT FALLS APART lol. These are very smooth and easy to install on the chair. Literally zero noise when I roll around. Worth it to keep this chair. Read more
Bought these to replace the worn out plastic casters on my office chair. They were easy to replace and took me about 2 minutes without any tools. They seem to be of fair quality--the bearings aren't the smoothest, but about what I would expect at this price. This may be a plus, as it prevents the chair from rolling away inadvertently on a hard floor. My only (minor) complaints are that these casters had quite a strong smell out of the box, but hopefully that will go away. They also added about 1" of height to my chair, which makes it a hair too tall for me at the lowest setting. I expect it would be about the same as any of the other rollerblade-style casters since they are just physically larger, but something I wish I had considered before purchasing. Read more
I have an older office chair that—due to some disability needs—I really NEED to keep using. The casters are old, and three of the five were pretty frozen, even after repeated loosenings and lubricatings. My office has some medium-pile carpeting that can't be removed. These casters combined with this carpet mean I struggle to move this chair so much as an inch to scoot into place. I've tried plastic floor mats, but they don't like my rather large largeness combined with the depth of the carpet. I tried a tempered glass one, but the "value" one ($120) I ordered shattered within 48h (a small hard thing dropped right on the edge, and it shattered). I'm STILL finding bits of it when I vacuum. Anything more suitable would run me about $250 for the space I need to roll in. After literally years of being frustrated by this, I was back looking for a mat solution today, being cranky at the price, and the hassle of getting it. But mostly the price. Lo and behold, these get put in front of me by the algorithm. Less than $25, and here within three hours. I figure it's worth a shot. These things are very well made, come in minimal packaging, and have BEARINGS!? o.0 Claim to fit a standard office chair (heavy metal-bottomed Synergy)? Check! Roll on carpet with almost no effort? Check! The greatest issue you'll likely have is getting your old ones removed (pry tool, and watch your fingers). For literally 1/10th the price of the floor mat I'd need to get to solve this problem, I'm happy as a happy thing, and currently looking for other offices chairs to "fix." Go buy them right now. There's no need to wait. These ARE the droids you're looking for... Read more
