Amber Reviews—December 17, 2020
This keyboard is SO COOL. I specifically bought this to chat on my Nintendo Switch. Some NS games don't have an online chat or chat on the NS app (example: Among Us) and someone told me a USB keyboard would work by plugging it into the NS console since there's a USB port open on it. It was as easy as plugging it right in to the console to use it, didn't have to do anything else! I was looking for a back lit keyboard, and behold, Amazon had this beauty. I LOVE the white with the rainbow back lights. Even the lettering on the keys are white, which makes the light shine through them better and you can see the letters easier than if they were black letters/keys. It's such a unique keyboard, I really like how the keys are raised up high too. You can switch off the back lights by pressing the key that looks like a sun. The keyboard also has little kick stands underneath towards the top, which would come in handy for PC or on a desktop or whatever. It feels like it's really good quality, and the price was AMAZING for a gem such as this, even got same day delivery! The USB is about average length, which I actually wish was a bit longer, but that's just for my specific needs, & that's an easy/cheap replacement if I decide to do so later. Just wanted to mention that incase anyone is using it and needs some length. Read more

(This review is written by the account holder's daughter, the one who uses the keyboard.) I love this thing. Don't get me wrong, it has flaws. I'll cover those. But we'll go over the pros before the cons. First of all, it's not loud. I've owned two of these, and while it does get a bit louder over the years, it's still pretty quiet. Especially since the older one got soap dumped on it and was then sprayed with a hose on the jet setting. Twice. It survived the first time! Are you kidding? That's insane! Huge points for water proofing! Through the years of using these keyboards, the lights stayed functional, BUT the keys wore down a bit. Mostly my WASD keys. I absolutely adore the white and rainbow combo. It's so darling! But... It's a tad sticky. Not in the literal sense, of course. But in the membrane keyboard way. Now, this IS NOT A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD. It is "Mechanical feeling". It is a membrane keyboard, with keycaps like a mechanical. On mechanical keyboards, I can flutter my keys at the speed of light. This one feels like there's a speed limit to it. I assume this will only really be a problem for gamers. It's also pretty cheap plastic. I know I said it was durable through spills, but this is different. If you step on it, it's gone, so don't let your kids leave these on the floor or bed. Thirdly, the keycaps do come off, with use of a keycap tool, but if you're looking to switch them out, don't bother unless you're getting keycaps designed for this type. This is not compatible with classic keycaps. And of course, there's the thing most reviews have harped on, being that there's one lighting option. Most people assume when it says "7 colors" that you can switch through the colors. Nope. Your options are rainbow and off. You can adjust the brightness though, which is nice. That's not a problem for me, but it's something to be mentioned. TDLR: It's quiet, but of course it is, because it's not a mechanical keyboard. Just a membrane keyboard in a mechanical costume. It still feels like a membrane. Extremely waterproof. My old one only broke after the second time it got hosed down. The lettering wears off over time, but the lights stayed functional. 5/5! I love the aesthetic of this keyboard! It’s compact with no wasted space around it and the keys feel great. I think people are exaggerating with the “sandpaper” feeling because it did not feel that way to me at all. It does have some sort of grit feeling, but it feels subtle. If you press into the board hard, there is some flex to it. However, it’s not a big deal to me and I can care less about it. My only minor issue was that the bright lights can sometimes make it hard to read out the letters. Letters are clearly visible when the lights are turned off. I alternate between keeping them on or off depending on how dark my room is honestly. Overall, a great value for a fantastic keyboard! Read more

I bought this keyboard for the LED lighting and faux-mechanical keys. The lights are pretty and bright. The keyboard is plug-and-play; there are no programs to install or download to get the lights to work like another brand of mechanical gaming keyboard. There are 3 options: on, pulse, and off. I personally don't like the pulse so I just leave them on. The description says that the lights turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity but mine does NOT (and this is why I rated this item 4 stars). This is not a true mechanical keyboard. It has a slight clicking which is louder than a standard keyboard but not nearly as loud as a true mechanical. This keyboard is about an inch shorter than a standard keyboard (see picture), which gives the keyboard a slightly cramped feeling but note this is not a compact size keyboard. Once you get used to the smaller footprint, it's fine. I have only used this keyboard for typing, not gaming. I did choose white for something different. I would definitely recommend this keyboard.
