Husband loves it!

NinaJanuary 2, 2025

Really great matcha! My husband loves this brand because it’s sweet. It is not like a traditional, ceremonial grade matcha, but a good, inexpensive alternative for those who like buying matcha in coffee shops. If, however, you like a real, vibrant green matcha this isn’t for you. For me personally, I don’t like this because it’s too sweet, but my husband loves it so it’s great for him! Read more

Replaced my morning coffee

BaileyOctober 20, 2023

I used to drink coffee every single morning (usually two cups) and I have managed to replace my morning coffee with this matcha powder drink. I have a sweet tooth and had this epiphany where I realized that I don’t actually like the bitter taste of coffee..I like the sugary, flavored Silk creamers with some coffee undertone. I wanted to move away from caffeine headaches and coffee creamer so I gave this a try. You can buy smaller batches of this Rishi Sweet Matcha and before getting this Mega bag, I would recommend trying that smaller batch first. Once I knew I liked the matcha, I bought this bag to stock up. This bad Larry should last me a LONG time. So, the matcha is very sweet, but you can dilute it with more water/milk and doesn’t compromise the taste. The ratio that I use is a bit different than what is listed on the package. I do about 8oz of water and then use my milk frother to warm about 6oz of whole milk. The resulting latte is still sweet enough after that and a lovely hot drink to wake up to! Read more

Best I’ve found

Best instant powder I’ve found. Super easy to make lattes before work. Tastes great, not “fishy” like other powders. Easy to use packaging. Read more

Tastes just like the Starbucks matcha!

Heathercorcoran00September 27, 2024

Never thought I’d pay this much for tea, but I did the math, and between my husband, daughter and I getting matchas at Starbucks we are UP THERE from a cost standpoint. This already has a sweetness so you don’t need a barista oat milk or vanilla soy milk etc. Just use the normal dairy or dairy substitute you’d normally use. NOTABLE MENTION - Matcha powder is hard to mix when you’re making a cold, iced drink. We bought an electric, handheld, drink mixer and it’s perfect! Creates that delicious frothy taste and a little foam (if you want it) that reminds me so much of the teas I get from a barista. Read more

Do not purchase

JessicaOctober 17, 2025

I have been using Rishi sweet matcha since 2021. Today, 10/17/2025 I have learned that this bag of matcha is ONLY 8% matcha and the rest is powdered sugar. I am very disappointed & will NEVER waste my money on Rishi products again. Do better. Read more

The absolute best sweetened matcha

Sophia HJuly 18, 2023

I love matcha but I find that it's generally way too sweet or entirely bland. This is the powder that one of my local boutique coffee shops use and, while it is expensive, the bag is pretty big and it tastes perfect without anything extra added. I have mine with oat milk and it's perfect. Read more

Amazing

Robert WalkerDecember 27, 2023

This is the best tasting matcha I've have found but.... It used to be $60 and now its $82 and that's too rich for my blood, whenever it drops back down; if it ever does, then I'll def be purchasing again but no way I'm paying $82 for this. Read more
