I needed a new cardigan style sweater for wearing around the house this winter really bad! The one I’ve been wearing for years was really showing its age. I ordered the color black. In my close-up picture, it doesn’t look very black but it is. I took the picture with outdoor light coming in the room. Black is sometimes difficult to photograph properly. My picture is meant more to show the sort of waffle-weave pattern of the fabric. It has two nice sized pockets right on the front that are easy to get to for your phone or for your tissues! I normally wear a size large but I ordered this a size up-in an X-Large because I wanted it to fit loose and comfortable like my old favorite and to go effortlessly over long sleeved t-shirts and tops. The sweater is of a heavier variety; definitely good for the cooler weather of fall and winter. It’s chunky and substantial. I didn’t wash this before I wore it. I usually do but it didn’t smell odd and I wanted to wear it last evening just hanging out after dinner. The washing instructions are on a tag on the inside side seam. They recommend washing it inside out in a cold, gentle cycle and laying it flat to dry. It says not to tumble dry or dry clean. I can deal with that because I will be wearing it over other clothes and it will be off and on several times a day, this winter. Ilm hoping it becomes my favorite, go-to house sweater). The buttons were quite snug to get unbuttoned. It’s like the button holes are a little too small for the buttons. They are a little gaudy in color, too; bright gold but I’m probably not going to fully button it anyway and it’s for knocking around the house so it’s not a big deal for me. I did mention it, though, and removed a star. For some, especially older ladies, that could be a game changer. They also provide an extra button inside a little bag and pinned to the inside of the sweater. I like the sweater and am already putting it to use now that the weather is changing. Read more

It’s well made of good quality materials and comes with an extra button in case you lose one. It fits as expected, even with a thin long sleeve shirt under it. It also fits over a sweatshirt, but not unexpectedly, it stretches and looks ridiculous. My only issue is the buttons being very noticeable. I did not like the way that the RITERA Plus Size Cardigan Sweater looked. The 50 % Viscose material may have something to do with it. It’s puffy, so it looks big but the fit is tight in places and too short. It looks like grandma knitted me a sweater. The buttons are bright (unattractive) gold and way too hard to unbutton. Which will cause the holes to stretch over time. The color is beautiful and I do like that it is soft, warm and has pockets. It should be a good porch sweater but it doesn’t look good on so I probably would only wear it around family. Therefore I think it is too expensive to just wear around the house. Read more

This is really soft and seems like decent quality for the price but I'm not crazy about the way that it looks on. It somehow manages to be a bit too tight and large all at once, which I don't understand. I have like two buttons that gape but the sleeves are really long and big and the waist is quite bit, too. The buttons are a bit large as well in person. The sweater itself though is warm and looks nice if I leave it unbuttoned. Overall I like it but it wasn't what I expected and the sizing is a bit off. Absolutely gorgeous color, VERY vibrant and bold. After both a hot and cold wash, the color didn't fade nor did the sweater shrink. I'd keep it out of the dryer, though. The sweater was also very warm, very thick and soft material. Great quality. The size is perfect for someone 5'8, 180 -- rubenesque curves. And it looks great (she's a redhead) -- the only downer to it is that the buttons (huge chunky gold ones) are much more gawdy than they look at first.
