I got these signs as a gift for a friend that lives on a rural property. He wanted signs to post his property that would be highly visible and withstand the weather extremes. These signs were perfect for him! The metal is pretty thick - they're not flimsy at all. They are a nice sign. Once posted on a fence post or tree, they can't be missed. The sign itself was exactly what was advertised. They were shipped quickly and the after sale communication was good. Finally, the price was awesome for the product. I bought this just before the Trump/Clinton presidential election. With all of the talk of Hillary having her own interpretation of our Second Amendment -- after it has worked as intended these past 240 years -- I wanted to make a (not so) subtle statement to those of the Democratic persuasion who visited our home. World history has shown that the forced confiscation of firearms owned by private citizens leads to governments accumulating more power and control over its citizens. After all, the armed forces of each country are controlled by the executive branch of its government. Think of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, or any other dictator who had complete control over their populations. Sadly the same confiscation occurred in our country when false promises were made to our native populations. After turning in their weapons they were forced from their lands and kept tightly contained and under control. That type of thing must never happen again in our country. This sign puts that warning front and center. The size is wonderful at 12" by 17", the photograph is an old tinotype that is stamped into the metal, and the stark colors deliver the message in a haunting manner. The only (minor) complaint is that the tin has a slight roll to it which probably indicates that it was not cooled and stored in a proper manner. That however becomes moot when it is fastened firmly by all four corners to wherever you mount it. Please remember the old adage: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". Nice looking sign = I feel worth the current $9 = even though I doubt it'll stay nice very long. The tin is quite thin, so much so that it can easily be dented pressing with your fingers. Ours arrived with the strongest part of the sign bent = the double edge, but was easy to bend straight. Of course it has a slight buckle slightly seen there. "Warning" is die cast = the rest of the sign = flat. Has four 1/8" dia holes in the corners for hanging. Edges are smooth folded back (double tin) making sign hollow 1/8" deep. Something to keep in mind when hanging. We used to collect and hang many various old fashion reproduction signs and know from past experience that colors on this type of sign will fade and sign start to rust if outside, within a yrs or so. Not good enough quality that I'd put holes on the outside of our house but it looks nice sitting in a window. And in our case = blocks most of the view to inside. Wanted the sign for the impact of the message & also because it's supposed to be weatherproof. But there's no appearance of it having a weatherproof finish, looks like every other inexpensive sign.
