We purchased this item as an accessory to a cabin-themed bathroom remodeling project we did. As other reviewers have noted, this item can tip over if left to its own balance. I placed the little feller on an eighteen inch high piece of hickory from a fallen tree and used building adhesive to hold him in place. The results were not adequate so after a bit of sanding, I applied hot glue from a gun, the kind one might use for crafts, and that did the trick. He is stable and looks cute on the tree stump, an idea I picked up from another reviewer. Giving this five stars because the complements are many. The little bit of effort to stabilize him did not detract from the overall review. You should know that large rolls of TP tend to shred just a little in the center because of the bear's protruding belly not a big deal by any means and after a few spins of the roll by users, the issue becomes non existent. This is the third one of these that I bought. I obviously like it. It goes perfectly in the children's bathroom. However it is ceramic and does break if you knock it over. I've had an adult knock ithe first one over and a child knocked over the most recent mishap. I got a new one two days ago. This one I'm gluing his feet to a small cement block to keep it from tipping over. I I'm hoping this works. He is adorable and I've had many compliments on him. Is very detailed and does his job well. If it just wasn't for the clumsy humans it would have been fine. If it happens again, I will buy another. And possibly glue it to the floor next time. My 92 LB four-year-old German Shepherd. walked into the bathroom, stared at it, whined, then started barking at it. All in all, it is well made, light enough to move, yet, heavy enough to hold its place when pulling off the toilet paper.
