I really wanted to love these 1950s-style capri trousers—they’re beautifully designed with a flattering high waist, mid-calf length, and the classic back slit at the calves. Sizing was spot-on when I followed the chart, and the back zipper works as intended, though it felt a little unusual to me personally. Unfortunately, the material is a dealbreaker for me. The fabric feels stiff and scratchy, and I just couldn’t get comfortable with it against my skin. I understand the nylon content likely contributes to durability, but it wasn’t a texture I could tolerate. It did feel like a heavier material that would hold up reasonably well, but it didn't have much stretch at all. If you don’t have an issue with a firmer, more structured feel, these trousers are well-made, stylish, and very true to size. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made these pants are. They're a nice nod to the 1950s style without feeling costume-y. The embroidery detail is really cute in person, it's subtle but it gives them a nice vintage touch. The fabric feels soft and smooth, and the little slit at the calf adds a flattering touch. The only thing I didn’t love is the closure. It’s a very thin zipper in the back with a small pull, so if you don’t have the best dexterity, it can be a bit fiddly to pull. Once it’s zipped, though, it stays put and looks neat. Fit-wise, as is typical with this style, the cut is slim and the material does not have a lot of give. If you have any stomach, hip or thigh areas you didn't like to show, these might not be for you. On me the thighs and hip area were more fitted and tight than I expected. If you prefer a little extra room in those spots, you might want to size up, but in my case, then the waist would also be bigger and too large. Read more
