This a nice lightweight scent that smells great and isn't overwhelming. Excellent longevity with no need to reapply throughout the day. I personally didn't think it was heavy at all - nor did it make me feel like a smelled like someone's great grandma. It has a blend of spicy notes with just the hint of Gardenia flowers. 5-star rating for the quality of ingredients and overall satisfaction with the scent. I quite liked this perfume, but my husband said it made me smell like an old lady shopping at Dillard's. The smell is very strong and perfumey. Almost nostalgic. I couldn't argue about the old lady scent. It did remind me of my Grandma, but in a good way. Read more

This is a simpler, more elegant perfume than a similar Gardenia in Gucci and Estee Lauder. Reminds one of late nights on the Italian Riviera or around Lago di Garda. I realize it is a French perfume, but the scent seems more Italian to me. Perhaps the vanilla tones have that affect. Long-lasting--at least 6 hours. And not too heavy. Perfect for summer. Reminds me of Violeta Classico from Parma in terms of its overall effect. Very nice and goes with all kinds of outfits well. Read more

It is hard to rate this since you make like it even though I don't. I certainly can not justify the large price tag for 3.4 fl oz of scent that doesn't appeal to me. I can see this more as a bathroom fragrance diffuser. While I am not trying to be harsh I think this appeals more to people with age. I can definitely see my mother liking this. She likes the heavy floral Gardenia scent. For the price tag I am very unimpressed buy the presentation of it. The box, bottle and labeling feel a little cheap. The scent is older smelling...mature but beautiful and soft and floral and sweet. I love it, but I know if is reminiscent of a time gone by. It lasts all day and softens as the day winds down. Read more
