I like this one. It's got a really pleasant earthy and musky scent that still manages to be feminine without being overly sweet like a lot of women's perfumes. I usually prefer light & airy floral scents & citrus scents. White tea and rose fragrances are some of my favorites (not old lady rose to be clear, but sweet mild rose fragrances mixed with other delicious scents to tame it down a bit - and I hate vanilla fragrances unless they're done right). Based on the description of this, I wasn't sure whether I'd like it. But on arrival day I opened the box with excitement, whipped it out popped the cap off and sprayed my body from neck to feet. And then I inhaled the fragrance. What I inhaled, I did NOT like it. The top note is way too overly sweet in my nose, and I just dont like it. I felt like id blend right in at a high end bakery wearing this scent... I became nose blind to the scent after only a few short minutes, and went on with my day. About an hour later I decided to do this review, so I gave my wrist a quick sniff to remind myself what it smells like. And thats when the beautiful fragrance hit me. It's so close to my skin I can't smell it unless I put my nose right up on it. Its feminine and sweet, it smells like vanilla and Christmas presents and my moms candles from when I was a kid 20 years ago. I love it. I asked my husband if he liked it, expecting him to say yes with that look on his face that really means no because he doesn't like fragrances all that much. To my surprise he answered me with a yes and his face confirmed that yes, he actually likes this scent. You'll have to be a fan of sweet fragrances to like this Robert Piguet eau de parfum. I like it once it dries down and it lasts for a long long time. I could still smell this on my coat the next day. At the same time, this is a mature scent in my opinion and reminds me of something a classy sophisticated, loving and warm grandma would wear - I'm 30 and im going to wear it because I have it. Let me start by saying that if you are looking for a unique perfume, this is one of the best option. I am a big fan of Robert Piguet perfumes as most of their products are super unique and special. This new perfume came in a very chic and classy black packaging just like their other products. The perfume smells beyond good and I love how unique and classy smell it has. It's a very luxury brand and I think this one is for sure a great idea as a gift to someone you love including yourself. The smell stays all day long without any problem and I can easily say this perfume is one of the most long lasting perfume ever. I highly recommend it. Read more

A little goes a very long way with these scents. This one did not end up being my favorite (I've tried Notes, Fracas, and V) but most of the Piguet scents are just too woodsy and grounded in musk or patchouli and to my nose, those notes smell a little like body odor to me. This one smelled the least musky, but the patchouli and sandalwood left me unhappy with how the smell mellowed out over time. This smells very familiar, and those are the rose and vanilla notes. Overall, how it smells to me is a powdery floral with musk and that is why I don't like it, the powdery smell just reminds me too much of cheap baby talc. It comes in a generous size in a beautiful jet-black, simple bottle. Very sophisticated presentation. If you like intense, musky powdery scents, this is a good one to try. Read more

This is the first I've worn any of this brand fragrances. When you put this on your skin it gives a sweet vanilla like scent. It's a pleasing smell, something more than vanilla, maybe a woody after-note. It's hard to verbally describe the smells but it gives a classy, mature, serious feel--a good evening or night perfume. We are not sure if it was from this or not, but the first time we used it in the house, we were all sneezing afterward. I've so far tried three of Robert Piguet's fragrances, Oud Delice, Calypso, and Nuit Velours and Nuit Velours is hand down my absolute favorite. If you love vanilla, sweet, gourmand fragrances, then this is the one to get. I just couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. It smells nothing that I've ever smelled before and I own over 50 bottles of perfume as a perfume addict. You can certainly smell the pepper upon opening, but then it transitions and dries down to a creamy vanilla/musky scent that is simply delightful. The sillage projection is enormous and I had a few people ask what I was wearing while at the supermarket. Yes, you can smell it through the mask. I think this may be my new signature scent. I actually got this for my wife for Valentine's Day. I mean, what wife doesn't like French perfume on Valentine's Day right? I got this scent unsmelled so I was hoping for the best. When she finally opened it up and put it on and smiled, I knew this was a winner. This has a nice vanilla smell that is combined with an earthy/musky kind of scent. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but I can tell you that it is a very nice sophisticated kind of perfume. Definitely the kind of perfume a woman puts on for a special night out. The bottle is actually larger than I thought it might be too. I would definitely recommend this! Read more
