The perfect bed frame for us

We're tall people, so we were looking for a frame that was set up higher than most, that's sturdy, and aesthetic. This bed frame covers all three of those. Our queen mattress fits perfectly on it, is easier for tall people to get in and out of, and it was very easy to assemble. Read more

Wonderful!

Love it! Would recommend a normal width mattress unless you want a really tall bed! I have a big fluffy pillow top mattress. It makes me feel like a kid again! Bed is super comfortable! Read more

Quiet bed frame. Easy to assemble. It feels sturdy.

This frame is much quieter than I expected. The rubber pads under the legs keep it quiet and help protect our hardwood floors. With all the pieces to assemble and potentially rub together, I expected some of the metal on metal connections to be noisy, but It's been quiet so far. If it eventually starts squeaking, it won't be too hard to add some thin rubber insulation strips wherever they're needed to quieten it down. For now though, it's nearly silent, a huge improvement over our old frame. Assembly was fairly easy, we had it unboxed and setup within 20 minutes, it goes a bit quicker if you have someone to help hold the pieces. It feels solid, very sturdy. It has no problems supporting the weight of our King size 14 inch mattress and the two of us. I love all the space underneath. By using a platform frame, we didn't have to buy a box spring for our new mattress. Our old bed frame had side rails and a center support and required a box spring. It only had about 8 inches of clearance under it. By eliminating the box spring and it's height we were able to use a taller bed frame which opened up lots of storage space underneath. The overall height of this platform frame and mattress is about the same as our previous frame, box springs and mattress. This 22 inch frame has about 18 inches of clearance under it. That's more than enough height to fit our largest suitcases and our large 27 gallon storage totes underneath with a couple of inches to spare. Our old frame barely had enough height to fit shoe boxes under it. We freed up lots of closet space by moving stuff under the bed. We bought a cheap bed skirt to wrap around it to hide everything we put under it. The mattress guards do a great job of preventing the mattress from moving. We don't have a headboard, but it's nice that this has the holes already in the rear legs to attach a headboard, there was no way to attach one to our old frame. Our old frame had legs that sat back several inches under the frame, I did like that. This one, the corner legs are out flush with the corners of the frame, so I do expect to stub my toes a bit more often, but the rounded legs will help a bit with that. The quality looks good, it came well packaged, everything went together easily. Our mattress fit on it perfectly. It's priced competitively with similar frames. Read more

No way to attach headboard, but it's a great frame

My husband assembled and installed this bed frame for our extra bedroom. It comes with tools for assembly, but it was taking much too long to put together with those, so my husband switched to using his own rachet instead. He cautioned that if you choose to use your own tools, be careful not to over torque the screws or you could tear up the bed frame. It's not difficult to assemble, but it is time consuming. Once assembled, the frame is incredibly sturdy. It doesn't squeak, creak, or wobble at all. It's also very tall. We chose the 18 inch height frame in order to have plenty of storage space under the bed. With the foundation and mattress, this made the top of the bed 38 inches tall. This is much too tall, and we'd need a step stool to get into the bed. Our mattress doesn't require a foundation, so we pulled that for a finished height of 30 inches. It's still very tall, but not too high for an average adult to climb into. Magnets stick to this frame, so it's made of powder-coated steel. Be aware that it can rust if it happens to be in prolonged contact with wet carpet. The price is comparable to other tall platform bed frames on the market, so at under $150 for a full-sized bed, this is a good value. Because of the sturdiness and good price, we wanted to give this frame a 5 star review, but unfortunately, we couldn't figure out how to attach our headboard to the frame. The listing says it can be used with a headboard, but there are no instructions for how to do that. My husband says he can see no way to attach he headboard without drilling holes in the frame itself. We'd rather not do that since it can be a potential spot for rust to form. The instructions say to contact the company if parts are missing, but there's no contact information included. 4 1/2 stars from us. Read more

Huge Storage Gain but Be Ready to Climb In

We picked this up for my son because his room doesn’t have nearly enough storage. The 18" version of this frame changes that problem immediately. You basically gain the equivalent of a queen bed sized storage area underneath. Fair warning though. With a thick mattress on top, getting into bed feels a little like pole vaulting. He doesn’t care at all and actually loves it, but if you’re shorter or not a fan of tall beds you should keep that in mind. The frame itself is solid. It’s metal, feels sturdy once assembled, and doesn’t make noise when you move around. My son put it together himself and had no issues with the instructions or hardware. The real benefit is the storage. You can fit a lot underneath this thing. Boxes, bins, luggage, seasonal stuff. For a smaller room it’s a really practical way to reclaim space without adding more furniture. If you need storage and don’t mind a taller bed, this is a very simple solution that works well. This also comes in a 22" if you are REALLY in need of storage and smaller sizes if you want something closer to the floor. This replaced a very pretty but very flimsy bed frame...those kinds that come with the padding/cushions attached at the side rails and footboard already...and he said there's a noticeable difference in how sturdy this is compared to the old mattress. This also has thick rubber feet which is important if you don't want your flooring trashed when you move or use the bed. Read more
