I bought these boots for a family trip to CO where I knew we'd be walking through snow and going sledding. They were perfect! I ordered half a size up and I'm glad I did because the warm furry lining would have made my true size too tight with socks. They kept my feet warm and dry - they're obvious function - but bonus they're absolutely adorable! The only thing I would change is the ability to tuck in the tongue. The way they're sewn the tongue is on top no matter what and it does make them cute, but impossible to wear with straight jeans (with leggings, boot cut jeans, ski pants they're perfect). I LOOOOVE these so much! They are silver so they are fun. They are incredibly warm AND have a zipper in the side! No more laces! Well, you still have to tie them but not often. My only issue is there’s no way these would work in a foot of snow. Unless I am wearing them wrong in the picture because the tongue does what it wants to. That’s why I gave them a 4. These boots run true to size. I wear a size 9 but ordered a 10 and didn't feel like returning them. I love the look but was totally not happy that water would seep in at the bottom and my feet would be wet whenever walking through snow or rain. My purpose was to wear them while walking my dog. Totally not happy but gave one star because I like the look but wasted my money and had to throw away due to wet socks and feet when I wear them in snow and rain. Bought these snow boots for my girlfriend, and while they look nice and kept her feet warm, the tread was a letdown. She said they didn’t have great grip on icy or packed snow surfaces, which kind of defeats the purpose of snow boots. They’re okay for light use—walking around in slush or short trips—but definitely not something she’d trust for longer walks or slippery conditions.
