This is a love hate situation. I believe that Ronnybrook is the only heavy cream without all of the junk in it - or at least it's the only one that I can find in my area. That said, along with no preservatives comes a very, very short shelf life. They always seem to be near their expiration date and once you open it, the clock starts ticking and it's a race to finish it before it curdles. I always wind up throwing out a lot of it, but it's the cleanest one out there, and I guess that wins! Read more

I am giving the item three stars because I received the product only 2 days from expiration. The cream is very good if you like the taste and consistency, which is a bit different from the more popular heavy cream options found in your supermarket. This cream is richer, creamier and much more expensive. Ronnybrook Farms makes several other products we enjoy, such as the eggnog during the holidays. I don’t dare look at the fat content-I’m sure it is several days worth. Just be prepared to give up some other delightful food for the next few days.. Worth it IMO. However, I will complain to Whole Foods regarding the unacceptable shelf life of the bottle I received. Read more
