These pants have an absolutely revolting odor and I do not use that word lightly. The moment that I removed them from the package I was nauseated. I tried to wash them to remove the smell because I hate wasting things. I washed them first with some other clothing and all that resulted was the smell remained and been permeated the rest of my clothing. I then had to wash everything a second time with two laundry packets. Still stunk. I put it in the dryer with three dryer sheets made especially for odors. All this accomplished was to make my entire laundry room smell like this horrid smell. I have ordered clothes both via catalogs and online since the early '90s from a variety of retailers and the clothes came from many different countries. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. I regret bringing this item into my home. I worried all night not knowing what on Earth my cats and I were breathing in. Please do not buy these pants. Update: I left the pants hanging outside two weeks. I washed them again. I sprayed them with fabric spray. The smell was finally tamed enough I could try them.
