It feels very sturdy and well-made, and I love that it came fully assembled right out of the box, no setup required! The soft-close feature on the lid is great—quiet and safe, without being slow or flimsy. I also appreciate the 300lb weight capacity, which gives me peace of mind when my husband uses it as a step stool. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. The design if different from other storage benches. It reminds me of an Art Deco design. The lid is a hydraulic lift, so it does not fall down on your hands. The texture is beautiful. The size fits a the bottom of Full size Queen & King bed. It is not too wide. The Top is great for storing decorative pillow at bedtime, a perfect for sitting on doing the day. It would look great in the living room as well as the bedroom. It comes full assembled. This Ottoman bench is cute, well made, not heavy, has nice storage, and great proportions. The rounded edges help you avoid bumping into it (I got it because I broke my toe on an old squared behemoth we were using). The primary reason for having a piece of furniture at the foot of a queen bed is to help a senior cat get up and down safely.
