This is a great trash can. The lid is heavy enough to where no critters have gotten into it and the color is very attractive. This is perfect size for two people maybe even three with moderate wastefulness however more than this and the trash can would be too small. When it arrived I though it was a bit small as it is smaller than my neighbors but maybe they jyst have jumbo sized one. Nice, but they are to large for our garbage man to handle, so I use them to pick up my clippings and haul the clippings to the burn pile. I like the fact they have wheels on them, as our property has few areas that are level. The wheels make it easier to navigate my way around the property. They are very well made: very sturdy. It is a nice little trash can. We bought it when we switched our waste pickup provider. The new guys do the job by hand rather than with an automated dumper on the truck. Not sure that this trash can would hold up long with the automate truck, but should be fine with our current provider. My only gripe with the can is that the wheels are placed close together so as to keep them for stick out from under the body. Unfortunately, this makes the can less stable while rolling. For two of these because I got tired of dragging the standard recycle box out to the curb. I figured with wheels this would be easier. I ordered two one for myself and one for my elderly mother. The first one arrived okay and I've only used it once. The second one arrived and as I took it to my mother's house I went to open the lid only to find that it had snapped right off at the handle. Upon further examination it looks like a very poor design that has limited life no matter how gingerly you treat your garbage can. These are supposed to be heavy duty cans that can put up with some abuse. I don't have high hopes for my can or the replacement that I ordered. I'm going to be really angry if they break in the same matter. There aren't any other options that I was able to find. I would avoid it if you don't really need them. Read more
