Nice strong bins. Work great Read more
These storage containers are very sturdy and the lids lock on very tightly. Read more
I've ordered two sets of four (8 total). I saw the reviews about broken parts and lid handle problems so I had the advantage of being careful with them from the start. There is no packing material at all and the box is extremely flimsy. Both boxes arrived damaged. Having said that, however, the totes/lids were not damaged. In my first shipment I did find a piece of tote plastic floating around inside one container but could never locate where it broke off from so I assumed it was fodder from the factory. So I have 8 working totes/lids, no problem. 1. The 66QT is a good size. Big but manageable. In some of mine I'm storing paper files (heavy) and they are manageable. 2. The lids DO NOT seal. (No gasket, o-ring, positive distributed hold-down, etc.) Lids lock on the ends only. So if you are looking for something that seals completely, these are not it. The lids are fine for keeping out minor (indoor) dust but I would not think they could keep out moisture or bugs. For example, if you are going to store clothing in your attic, I recommend putting the clothing in a plastic trash bag (sealed) and then store the trash bag in the container for easy stacking and prevention of damage to the trash bag. 3. The lids are difficult to remove and you will need some finesse to get them off. (Pull up on one end of the lid by the handle until it releases.) 4. They would look nicer if you could get the stickers off but ... oh well, you can't without tremendous effort. 5. The built-in (molded) handles in the totes are strong and very useful. 6. They are made in the USA!!!! Read more

Jeez was I disappointed with this item - and not because they are not sturdy, or the locking doesn't work. But the PRICE. Totes are large, and when you need a bunch of them having them delivered from the internet is the EASIEST way. I was so excited for these totes to come in. Who doesn't love a good tote, and with the craze of clear totes I though these would be a no brainer. I bought the largest size in a set of 4. They are not as deep or as wide as I thought, the lid doesn't give any room at the top, in fact, it takes room away by having to fit just slightly under the rim of the tote. For the price, these are no good. If they were cheaper (like wayy cheaper), I think I'd have a different opinion. They are sturdy, they will protect items inside, they are clear, they are light to carry, and they stack nicely. But at over $30 per tote, you're better off going into your local chain store and picking out something else. Which is what I ended up doing and found bigger and cheaper. I still have these totes. I did not return them - I mean their still bulky and who would want to haul these in somewhere to return? Not me. Read more
They are plastic storage bins with locking handles. I read some of the reviews and expectations of some are just not realistic. They are good for what they are meant to do, put them in a closet to organize your stuff. I wouldn't consider these for everyday hauling needs, it's just not realistic. I particularly got them to store grains and beans, they do an excellent job, hold the weight well, the locking feature ensures that they stay bug free. Read more
Rubbermaid in my book has an excellent reputation. I have used Rubbermaid products for years. So, on this occasion I expected the same high-quality, easy to operate etc. The storage units appear sturdy but the locking mechanism is near to impossible to open once engaged. No problem locking. At first, I thought that I didn't understand how the locking mechanism worked but on closer inspection I realized that the lock is poorly designed. All the other Rubbermaid products I have come with easily operated locking and unlocking mechanisms. What good can be achieved when storing an item out of harms way when you cannot open the container. I am still flummoxed. Without the aid of a screwdriver, I cannot open any of the four I purchased. And if with the aid of a screwdriver, the unit fights back. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. Thank you in advance. Read more
