This can fit a 40.. 40 little loose on me with certain jeans. If your 40 inch waist your fine. 38 inch waist myself is fine. It stretches.. i bought These leggings I use for work to wear under my mesh basketball shorts.. it feels really comfortable, even bending up and down to make sure it dont rip on the butt. Fit great, so far great quality and does not stretch out after wearing for a little while. Very bright, comfortable and fits as expected. These dont get the 5 stars as the black ones because they dont have the side pocket. Minor fault but the other ones do so not sure why this color doesnt. Also be warned, these will show things underneath as the lighter color is more transparent and shows more even when dry.
