Genuine leather but with additional remarks
The product is genuine leather however my particular example had considerable imperfections and rough blemishes to the point it was unusable for my application which is front-facing on my desk with clients. Practically-speaking it protects the desk but functionally its surface is too marred to be used in a business setting much less as a blotter. Therefore usablilty for its intended purpose is called into question. In a different setting, I am sure someone could appreciate its rustic nature but the images showcased is a misrepresentation of the actual product at best. The actual product was considerably darker in tone as well. I do appreciate the seller for offering a real leather product at this price point, however. My rating reflects this.
