Its a $3.99 knife

I Bought this knife out of curiosity, to see what Id get for $3.99. As such, I will rate this as a $3.99 knife, I will not rate this in comparison to a $300. Spyderco or even a $30. Buck. As it is, it appears to have a one piece molded high impact plastic frame, a blade that may have been stamped out, heat treated and sharpened and polished, and a lock back design for locking the blade open. The knifes operation is very stiff, and it takes some pressure to release the lock to close the knife. That may break in over time. The knife is not very sharp out of the box, but I will remedy that. The pins and pivot are not high quality or well finished. I would not carry this as a primary edc, it would not hold up. But as a back up, or a tool box knife, or something that you will leave out on a workbench for cutting up boxes, etc. it is ok. It is an expendable knife, you wont get mad if it gets lost or damaged, like you would a SOG or a Benchmade, so that iis its value. Is it wort $3.99? Sure. Get a few and leave them around the shop or your trunk for emergencies, or where you think someone might lift it. :) Read more
