Great comfortable boots with some caveats...

These boots are well-made using quality materials and are extremely comfortable. For reference, I wear a 7.5 M and my foot is on the narrow side of medium. They are a good fit for me. I like my boots with a snug fit. The insoles are well-padded. Thick socks won't fit in them, but they are so comfortable you don't need to. My toes don't hit and I have long toes. Unfortunately, the pair I received had several scratches on the right boot. I think I can repair with shoe polish but I shouldn't have to. There are several reviews about a zipper issue where the boots come unzipped while wearing. I've even spoken to someone who experienced this issue firsthand. The challenge is I won't know if this is a problem until I wear them and if I wear them I can't return them. I think I could take them to a shoe repair place and pay to have them fixed. At this price point I shouldn't have to. Still undecided about whether I should keep them... Read more

hoping for more bang for my buck

This shoe is beautiful and very comfortable, however, I wore them twice and the heel is breaking down. I'm not overweight and do not feel I should have so much break down in a shoe with so few uses and for the price I paid. Read more

Bad design. Caveat emptor. And Amazon wouldn't refund the full cost. Bad Amazon!

The boots ripped at the zipper after three months of occasional wear. The fault is a bad design of having the zipper of the back on the heel. The heel of a shoe/boot is a stress point and gets a lot of pressure. The zipper is small and wimpy, and the leather is very soft which makes for a bad combination. Zippers work best on the side of a boot when there is no tugging from the action of walking. Amazon said that if I return them I would be charged a “restocking” fee of $26. The first Amazon agent I spoke to said that the restocking fee would be reimbursed. The second agent said I would NOT be reimbursed for the stocking fee. Two different stories. I asked to speak to the manager: no refund for the stocking fee. Perhaps they are planning on selling the one remaining unripped boot to an amputee. “This is our policy “I said if you are selling a defective product the policy needs to change. “This is our policy ““this is our policy ““this is our policy “ I asked for the address to send a complaint to Amazon. No snail mail, no email address. “I will relay your message,” said the phone agent. I asked if the person they planned on relaying my message to would listen to the phone call as they always record the calls. No they would not, however they would, “relay the message.” I can just imagine how that went. I asked for the address of the manufacturer. They had no address. Apparently there is also no complaint department for Amazon. Very convenient for ignoring customers’ concerns. I can’t afford to buy a new pair of boots every three months. They should last at least a year. They completely abdicated all responsibility for the faulty product. This is bad customer service. I am very disappointed with Amazon. I returned this months ago and Amazon is asking me to return it...?? ! Read more
