Scotty? I need more Power. Welcome to my review!
This is my second scooter I purchased in the year. My first one had a top range of 25 miles and 25mph. That scooter was a great starter for me as I just needed something to learn to ride but haf decent speed to ditch my bike. That scooter has been a great first scooter I would give it a 4.5 out of 5. It handled well, did well just on the streets and was a really sturdy scooter. So much so that I've even rode that thing in the heaviest rains and never had an issue with the motor, brakes or water getting into any compartments. So for about 9 months that's been my go to ride. So I had been researching and watching videos on bigger and better scooters and found the Ultron to be highly recommended both for it's price, build, reliability and power. Let me tell you as a 53yr old guy, I probably should not be riding this awesome machine because it has power and if you are careful this scooter could and will do damage to anyone that rides it, especially this old Gen Ex Dude. The scooter is very sturdy and well made. Easy setup right out of the box. But this bad boy is heavy!!! Rightfully so for the power it produces. I have gotten this up to 52mph on a clear day no wind and let me tell you I have never been so scared Sh#tless and excited except for a roller coaster ride. I damn near soiled my buggies from the sheer quick acceleration and how fat i went from 0 to 50 alone. Unreal!!! Not only did it give me a smooth beautiful easy ride thanks to the 11inch tires and those amazing shocks at those speeds steering and moving with the road felt amazing and effortless. I am 237lbs and I did not feel my size mattered for this machine it handled my size well. I love that it came with the seat but I don't see a need for myself at this time but I love the option. The braking on the scooter was great but did take a minute to learn how much pressure to apply but I was able to stop almost on a dime when I tested it on my streets as I know cars just don't stop or see me at times. The lighting is great and covers a wide area at night. Love the braking lights and the added turn signal lights are a great bonus. The ultron does come with the off road tires which are nice but in the long road I will change them out for street for more tighter handling and grip at the higher speeds. I'm in CA so technically nothing over 15mph but in my town no one cares or even thinks about scooters so be aware that wherever you are you may be on sonmmeones radar. I get asked about this ride all the time, how fast, how far, is it sturdy is it fun. Lol I give them the rundown and talk it up to anyone who listens. Scooters are just now becoming more mainstream in my town but just the smaller ones. When they see this heads turn and people think I'm crazy. I will say get a helmet especially a motorcycle helmet if you go able 30-35 for safety. Wear appropriate clothing to minimize accidents and be safe because it's addicting especially in good weather. My next goal will be how far it will go on a charge. It's getting 5 stars for a reason. The price is amazing to when you consider that other 3-$4000 scooter with similar builds and power have worse reviews. The main display is big and easy to read for your speed and battery power. It comes with 2 power cords so I recommend charging with both when you can for quicker charging. Overall out of 5 I give this a 10! You will not be disappointed. Well worth the price. Definitely one of the best items I've purchased off Amazon. Last advice I would give is get to know someone in your town that specializes in scooters to help with repairs, upgrades or general maintenance. I have a guy now when I don't want to tackle things myself or have the time. Build that relationship it helps longterm. Good luck. 🤗🤙 Read more
