This Sabrent SATA-to-USB adapter worked perfectly right out of the box. It recognized my old 2.5” SSD instantly, and the transfer speeds were fast and smooth. The plug-and-play design made the whole process quick and hassle-free. It feels well-built for the price and is extremely convenient for backups or data recovery. Overall, a great tool to have on hand and definitely worth the purchase. Read more

This is a great little adapter! I bought this to try to read a 3.5" external HDD for which the enclosure had gone bad. At first I couldn't see the partitions on the drive, but it turned out the partition table was actually corrupted. I was able to read the files with GetDataBack software. It read and copied files to another drive, averaging about 90MB/sec, which was a lot faster than I was expecting. The nice thing about this unit is it will plug into a 2.5" or 3.5" drive, and it includes a power source for the more power-hungry 3.5" drives. Highly recommended! Read more

Works as expected. Setup is easy because you just plug it in. There's this blue light that'll blink when it's connected, which doesn't take long. This thing even works when it looks like it isn't fully plugged in, like if you're using it to transfer data between two Xbox 360 hard drives! Read more

I needed this to clone a hard drive on my neighbor's aging PC (he upgraded from an HDD to an SSD). This is the one that plugged into the SSD. Pros 1. My laptop recognized the hard drive immediately, no problems. 2. Connection was stable. It took about 45-60 minutes to clone the hard drive and I didn't suffer any disconnects. 3. This thing will likely never be used again (or if it is, maybe 1-2 more times). So, it worked for my purposes and it was inexpensive enough that I don't feel like I wasted money. Cons 1. None I'll probably never need to purchase one again, but if I do, I would buy this one again. Read more

I had an SSD that was installed but not connected and I didn’t want/need a hard drive enclosure so I got this instead. It was extremely easy to use, plug and play. Functioned as advertised. My only gripe was that the cord was on the small side. Read more

I tested this with two Samsung 870 EVO SATA 2.5" SSDs. One being 2TB, and the other 500GB. They were both able to be read and wrote to using this adapter. Entirely plug and play. I had no issues. I didn't test the transfer speeds (sorry), but it seemed pretty fast when I was writing hundreds of gigabytes. The SATA connector is fairly stiff when seated, and probably won't become loose during operation unless it gets tangled with other wires and you pull on them. It's small, portable, and won't break if you drop it. The blue status LED is a nice extra feature I was not expecting! :3 Read more
