This was one of the most fun games I’ve played in a long time. I wish there were more of them! I was happy to come across another game that was similar to the old games I loved like Sly Cooper & Crash Bandicoot. It was a lot of fun and I love that it was multiplayer too, which isn’t always an option in games like this. Read more

This game is a must have for PS5 owners looking for some couch co-op. As a fan of all the previous Little Big Planet games, this is a natural choice to add to your library. Read more

This is a fun game that a whole family can enjoy - there can be up to four players on the screen at once. No need for additional consoles either, as this is thankfully a couch-coop game. Have a PS5 but not four DualSense controllers? No sweat, the game allows you to use DualShock 4 controllers as well to fill-in the gaps. Some areas of the game require multiple players as in previous Little Big Planet games, so solo completionists beware. And the action can get fairly hectic with multiple players on the screen at once, which can lead to some fairly competitive scenarios. Cooperation is a must in some areas, even though the entire game is essentially a huge race to multiple finish lines. The game is utterly beautiful. Utilizing the PS5’s hardware to add extra flare to environments and costumes really make it stand out. The basic lack of loading screens is also phenomenal - no need to wait to jump into levels! The only negative? As of now the game does suffer some graphical glitches that make costumes act erratically, and can be very distracting. Game-wise, with a pathed-out map that requires levels to be completed before progression, it does borrow heavily from the tried-and-true Super Mario Bros 3 layout. Genie lamps appear periodically to grant players mini games that earn them extra “bells” (the game’s currency) — much like the mushroom huts from SMB. Where the game improves on the formula is the ability to journey off the beaten path on the map, allowing players to interact with objects to earn experience bubbles and bells, plus find hidden areas. I’ve enjoyed playing this with my kids. I highly recommend it for those looking for a fun couch coop experience. Read more
