The media could not be loaded. At first, I judged it by the color since it wasn’t bright green, but once I tasted it, I was surprised in the best way. It tastes great for the price, with a nice nutty, umami flavor. Read more

The color is extremely bright and I have gone through about 4-5 different matcha brands. You can clearly tell it's ceremonial grade, because if it's vibrant color and how sweet the matcha is. There is a lot of umani with a hint of sweetness in it and there is a slight grassiness taste at the end, but for the value of $40 for 100g is great. Most matcha brands usually easily run about $50-80 for 100g for ceremonial. However, make sure to sift the matcha before drinking, because I noticed there can be small clumps at times. Read more

Really excellent taste great for iced matcha latte. Excellent quality for the price. I’m on my third bag Read more
I'm just getting into matcha, and this tastes great. It's in a travel-sized pouch, so you'll get about 2 drinks out of it. Read more
I’m really impressed with the quality of this matcha! The price is also amazing. It’s definitely my go-to matcha now. Read more

This is only the second type of Matcha I've tried and it turns out the first one was a blend of mushroom coffee and coconut cream powder where this is pure matcha and was an entirely different experience. Lets start with the size, I got the 10g "travel bag" which I think is probably the equivalent of a sample pouch despite the 5$ price tag. You get about as much as you would opening an individual packet of hot cocoa, so a single serving maybe two depending on how large of a cup you use. At least that's how it comes across to me, I could be doing this entirely wrong as there were no instructions (will get to that in a moment). The bag design is very basic but cute, cute in the way they did a nice job on the layout and font choices it doesn't feel plain even though its so simple. Next, Due to my only other experience with match a being a blend I kind of assumed a frothier would be more than enough to mix this but it wasn't, even with hot water it pilled up and didn't want to dissolve very easily, I found out afterwards (like i said no instructions) from an acquaintance that professional shops that use this matcha of this level of quality tend filter it through something like a hand sieve or tea strainer with water and use something like a mortar or other utensil to make sure it breaks up through the filter holes which makes my experience with it make a lot more sense, I personally think that if this is the case instructions on the packet would be nice. The flavor itself was slightly stronger than my previous matcha experience, and the color is much darker or more pure looking (obviously, my only other experience at this point was a blend.) It had a slightly stronger what I would describe as distinct tea taste to it, yes all teas taste different but if you've drunken a large variety of teas I think you will know the background taste I'm talking about, the earthy plant taste may be how to describe it, anyways that taste was sitting there right behind the individual unique flavor of matcha. Other reviewers said it didn't need sugar but I personally added a little bit of it to taste. Overall this is a very high quality product, I think it's a great treat for yourself or a gift for someone else, but make sure you look up how to properly prepare it and if you give it to someone else make sure to tell them how as well. I don't think anyone would be unhappy with this, it's the level of quality that makes you want to thank the seller for the experience and I've only ever had that feeling before about books. Read more
This All Day I Eat Like a Shark Saemidori Matcha is a nice shade of green. It doesn't say ceremonial grade on the bag, but it tastes like a good ceremonial grade. It is smooth and has a very nice flavor. Normally I make matcha lattes, but I would also enjoy this plain. It is Japanese, first harvest and JAS-Certified which are all good things that I consider when buying matcha. The only thing I don't see mentioned is whether or not it is shade grown. Since no instructions were given on the 10 gram travel size, I went with my usual preparation. I like a stronger flavor, so I use 1 teaspoon of powder per 8 ounces of water. Be sure to use hot water but not boiling because too hot can cause bitterness. I recommend sifting the powder, and I use a milk frother to mix. I found it hard to scoop all the powder out of the sample bag, because of the way the bottom folds. Hopefully, the 100 gram bag is better. I would recommend getting that one because this is good matcha, and the 100 gram size is a much better value at this time. Read more
