I'm an XL and it fits me tight with just a shirt....I probably would not be able to close it if I had a jacket on. They secure with Velcro straps, which isn't a problem. For the money they are good. These come in individual packets, so they made a great piece of safety equipment to store in your seat pockets in the car. I have two or three in each of my vehicles and have given some to family. For the cost, having something always available that stores nicely and is always there in an emergency is something that everyone should really think of having in their vehicles.
