Well, I changed the gasket's to fix side dripping after a few years. And, it worked good. Then it stopped working. I started to get a new one, but I read reviews and verified that many people had thrown theirs away prior to changing THE PRESSURE VALVE! So, I ordered th M9 Pressure Valve and the 12 cup Bialetti moka pot model 6853 works just like the day I bought it! Keep up the proper maintenance and yours will lasts for many years too! We have an old espresso pot - probably 30 years. It's needed a new valve for a while. Because I didn't know the exact model name or even brand (it's worn off from the bottom of the pot), I had to measure the size of the valve I wanted to replace. Replacement was very easy- just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one- that's it. If you have a wrench or even a pair of pliers, it's really easy. The pot works great again. If I need to buy a new valve in 30 more years, now I know what size to get. Read more

Saved my beautiful stainless steel Bialetti coffee pot. I had a steam leak from the old valve that required me to manually hold it shut which was getting old.
