I started to get a new one, but I read reviews and verified that many people had thrown theirs away prior to changing THE PRESSURE VALVE! So, I ordered th M9 Pressure Valve and the 12 cup Bialetti moka pot model 6853 works just like the day I bought it! Keep up the proper maintenance and yours will lasts for many years too! We have an old espresso pot - probably 30 years. It's needed a new valve for a while. Because I didn't know the exact model name or even brand (it's worn off from the bottom of the pot), I had to measure the size of the valve I wanted to replace.
