This tray is GREAT! It is a bit pricey, but it's well worth it. It's built like a tank. I've had several different trays, but this is by far the best I've ever purchased in every way. The pictures don't do it justice - it has nice polished edges, the platform is stiff and sturdy, the padding is perfectly placed and all materials are top notch. The clever drawer and phone holder both work very well. The light very adjustable, sturdy and bright. This desk makes working from my couch much better than just using my laptop on my lap. I can use my mouse and I love that it has a clip to hold my phone so I'm not constantly having to fish around and find it in the couch cushions, lol. The drawer on the side is big enough to hold my wireless mouse, and the light is really nice to have when it gets dark early and the room starts to get dim in the evenings. The desk is not too heavy and it's not uncomfortable to have it sitting on my legs for hours. The only thing I don't like about it is the wrist rest/ledge is not high enough to keep my laptop from slipping off, so I'm constantly having to slide my laptop back up, which is annoying. Idk, maybe if your laptop doesn't have a sloped edge like mine it'll stay put better. Read more
I’m very impressed with this lap desk. The build quality is great — it feels strong, stable, and comfortable to use on the couch or in bed. I love the adjustable height and angles because it helps reduce neck strain while working. The LED light is a nice bonus for reading or typing at night. Absolutely LOVE this lap desk! The lamp is so nifty and the pull out phone holder is awesome. Great for using for doing nails, crafting, or coloring. I do have a silicone mat I lay on top, to not mess it up. Charges last quite a while too. Read more
Awesome desk its half light weight you can cross your legs the drawer i was most excited about it was nice to just open the drawer instead of bending trying to get the pen or whatever you need to grab. The phone holder is okay i don't use it much but i got a Motorola and it fits fine. I got a 15 inch laptop an it works great i got a little room for the mouse if you scoot your laptop to the side its even better! the lamp works like a charm i use it at nite very awesome and the cushion is nice and soft. The desk is awesome for writing and reading. When i first got this desk that all i wanted it for writing but when i use it for my laptop totally awesome and nice so over all glad i got it :) and it also on a very tiny slant so that nice to hope you enjoy it! :) Read more
I'm writing this primarily because when I was shopping for something like this, i was having a hard time finding something for an 18" laptop. This is advertised as 17" and the AI on Amazon said it would be too small for my 18" laptop. Turns out it fits my 18" asus rog laptop fits perfectly on it. I don't need a ton of mouse space. More would be nice but it's not necessary for 90% of what i do when I'm sitting on the couch with this. I also use a cooling pad sometimes under it. The cooling pad allows me to tilt it more. I don't use the light with my laptop but if you wanted to do that you just have to put the light up first before putting your laptop on the tray. I use the light for my books and taking notes. I like the black color. Looks good. The pads on the bottom are comfortable. The leather texture is not slick. There's a grippyness to it that's great so my mouse doesn't go flying when I'm adjusting my sitting position. Not great if you're gaming but perfectly for most things I could put a slicker mouse pad if I really wanted to game with this but that wasn't really my purpose for this. Just wanted to do some work stuff and studying on the couch next to my wife instead of solo in the office or bedroom. Overall, this is great. Very happy with it. Read more
The biggest reason I am returning this item is because, when the laptop is centered on it, there's enough room for the mouse to sit but not travel. This is a 15" laptop so the one in the product picture must be a much smaller one. While I can move the laptop to the left, giving more surface area on the right fir the mouse, the laptop is off-set and makes it awkward for typing. If I shift the whole lapdesk so that the laptop is directly in front of me, it becomes undeveloped because of the big cutout in the padded support on the bottom side at the front of the laptop. I have no idea why that foam padding would not be equally filled all the way across. If I was using the lapdesk for writing or doing a small craft I might keep it yet for an $80 item it's not worth the irritation of needing constantly balance it or sit and type while reach slightly left rather than in front of me.
