Soft fabric, wide soft elastic waistband and perfect size for my 5yr old son. The back seams are actually on each cheek so the wedgy effect isn't so easy. Wash up great and don't appear to shrink like some other kids boxer brief brands (fruit of the loom/hanes). I will continue to buy these as he grows. Not too short or too long in the leg either.
