Originally I thought it wasn’t working well, but realized the problem was with the uneven tile in my bathroom. I put it on a smooth surface and it was consistent with what I weighed at my doctor’s office. Looks great and fast shipping. Read more

I love it! It’s easy to use I didn’t need all the extras on most new scales! I don’t like that my weight is 5 pounds more than my old scale! Oy Read more

We have a pretty good, seemingly reliable digital scale already, but I ordered this one to put in another bathroom in our house for a family member who constantly comes into our bathroom to use the scale. I decided to do a little side by side comparison and I couldn't believe that the readings differed by about .4 lbs. every single time. I wondered which one was actually the truth! I think I like our original scale better because the display lights up to a bright blue which makes it easier to read. Also, our existing scale offers body fat, water, bmi readings, etc. So as for this Salter scale, while it looks nice and is aesthetically pleasing, I would say it is just a very basic scale that may or may not be perfectly accurate...I am going to choose to believe that my old scale is more accurate just because it says I weigh .4 lbs. less every time!! I’ve only had this scale 2 months and already doesn’t work. When you step off the scale it doesn’t even give you enough to view the weight. Also, I didn’t think it mattered when I bought it, but this scale doesn’t have a background light. That makes it harder to see the weight. Read more

This review is of the Glass Digital Scale option for the listing. While this is a pretty basic scale and while it doesn't have a ton of different bells & whistles like some higher-priced options do (such as body mass -- BMI -- measurement and memory settings), it's a purpose built unit solely to tell you your weight and it seems to do a very good job at that function. While I don't expect any scale of this type to be 100% accurate, it does appear to be very, very close to the expected weights of our entire family so I do think it's about as reliable as any scale of this nature is going to be. Batteries are also included with the unit so it's pretty much ready to go as soon as you unpackage it which is appreciated it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a low-cost personal scale without all the fancy bells & whistles. **Disclosure: I received this product at no cost via the Amazon Vine program in exchange for agreeing to provide an unbiased review. Amazon pricing at time of review (after applying any available coupons and discounts) was $15.99.** Read more

We were getting erratic, unreliable readings pretty much as soon as we got it. It would report a weight that we knew was incorrect, so we would try it again and get a different weight. We had to weigh ourselves about 3-4 times and average the readings to get a rough idea of our actual weight. Now, about a year later, and it's even worse and is giving readings about 100lbs less than the actual weight! Had to throw away and buy another scale. Read more

There are both manual and digital scales under this product listing. This review is for the digital glass scale. Very sleek and modern looking! Pretty enough that you won’t feel weird leaving it out all the time. I felt a little uneasy stepping on it the first few times, because…well, glass. My brain kept telling me not to step on glass. But no problems. Big clear readout numbers. Intuitive to use. It came set to kilograms, and I quickly figured out how to hold down the button on the bottom for a moment to change it to pounds without needing the instructions. Comes with 2 AAA batteries that were easy to insert. Only downside is that it reads 5 pounds more than my old digital scale. Not sure which one is accurate – this one could very well be, so I should probably back off on the pizza this weekend. Read more

I got this clear glass digital scale for my son & dil's bathroom, so they'll quit using mine, lol. I have a Fitbit Aria scale that is very accurate. So we set both scales up in the kitchen and compared back and forth to test this one out. This scale is slightly inaccurate and inconsistent; not by much, just a pound or two. But I mean, that's what you buy a scale for right? Accuracy. It's not a huge deal, as it's for my kids, and they could care less whether or not it's off by a pound. But if you're on a weight loss journey, that might be an issue. It's a beautiful scale, very minimalist and clean looking. It will look nice in their bathroom, and they'll stay outta mine, lol.
