This is the best blow dryer. The air is direct so that it doesn't blow the hair around creating fly aways, but instead keeps it smooth. The air is also warm enough on the low setting to dry my mid-back length medium thick towel dried hair in about 10 minutes. It does not burn my hair and my hair does not get tangled in it. It is light as well too, so my arm does not become fatigued. My husband loves it too and he was a professional hair dresser. He said this one is the best salon quality dryer he has ever come across for home use. He also has mid-length medium thick hair and it dries his hair in about 10 minutes as well. The heat settings are functional and actually different where there is a warm one, and then a hot one, and the cool shot actually works, unlike many other cheap ones where all the warm settings are just hot, too hot and the cool shot is warm or doesn't work at all. The attachments are very useful and the diffuser is actually large enough to fit all my hair so that it actually helps to create bounce in my curls rather than just making it look scrunched and messy like some diffusers that are to small and do not circulate the air well. I was skeptical about spending over $200 for a hair dryer but I's so glad I did. I have fine, wavy hair that can turn frizzy when I blow dry my hair. My friend suggested I try the Sam Villa Hair Dryer. I'm so glad she did because I love this hair dryer. I can blow dry my hair and it comes out smooth and frizz free. It also dries my hair faster. My hairdresser suggested this dryer. I was hoping it would eliminate frizz due to the ionic part. At least it does a good job drying my hair quickly without blowing it everywhere. The switch is annoying. I keep turning it off while drying. I just don't see that much difference in.this and a regular dryer, especially given the money spent. I like everything about this hair dryer! It is the 1st professional hair dryer that I have purchased and it won't be my last. It costs twice as much as a cheaper hair dryer, but it dries my hair so fast and I have a professional hair do when I am finished. My hair is so soft and smooth! I have had several of my friends comment on my hair and even my husband noticed the difference! I like the buttons on the dryer and also the long cord that is heavy and tangle free. The cord has a velcro strip attached to it, so when I am done drying my hair, I can fold the cord up and keep it together with the velcro strip. So convenient! We were skeptical the price point on this dryer would be worth the difference from the numerous $50 range products we had used in the past. We couldn’t be happier, the drying power is incredible. We have cut the time in half. In addition to being light weight it is incredible sturdy and well built. The handle and rest of its composition do not feel like a light weight cheap product whatsoever. If you can spend the extra bit on this one I highly recommend doing so. Read more

This was a Christmas present for my wife who would never treat herself to a higher end anything. I'm a buy once, cry once type and see value in buying well made "tools". So far she's had nothing but high praise for this hairdryer. She's getting compliments every day on her hair and I admit it does look shinier and healthier. Which is strange to me as I didn't know a hairdryer could make such a difference. Lighter, more power, more durable? Sure. It does not get very hot, but it works for me and my hair. I don't really need to to get super hot anyway. My hair is curly/wavy and very prone to frizzing, but this dryer is solely responsible for keeping the frizz at a minimum. It is amazing. Comparing this to the Dyson, which was bought for me as a gift, it is a bit less powerful, which I need because the Dyson was causing more frizz and breakage as my hair is fragile at the ends and thin and really doesn't need a super powerful hairdryer. This dryer is perfect. It is so quick to dry and gives a great blowout. Highly recommend! Read more
