No Internal Speakers

Monitor is not as advertised in Amazon item details. It does not have internal speakers and it does not come with an HDMI cable or a Display port cable. Resolution is not adjustable or shown by the menu. The cheap paper printed instructions are useless. I've owned many Samsung monitors in the past but this one is a big step down in quality. Read more

I got this monitor to use with my work laptop to provide a bigger screen that makes it easier for me to open multiple applications and windows and be able to see everything. This isn’t the largest monitor, but I didn’t want one that was too big because of my desk configuration. It comes with a mini HDMI cable, which worked fine as my laptop had that option available. The monitor automatically turns on when I wake my laptop from Sleep mode and turns off again as expected when Sleep mode is engaged. I’ve been using the Eye Saver Mode and that is interesting because it changes the color tone of some things, but does seem to help my eyes from being more strained / tired. I sit relatively close to the monitor and it doesn’t bother my eyes at all. My only complaint is there are two small areas on the very top of the screen where it meets the casing that looks like it got “pinched” or something when they put the casing together. It’s not the end of the world, but I noticed them right away (circled in the pictures). My guess is there is added pressure on those spots due to the way the case is attached to the actual screen. Otherwise, this monitor has been a great addition to my work setup and improved my efficiency because I can open multiple items and am no longer restricted by having to use the small laptop screen. This monitor is primarily used by my teenage son for gaming, but he also watches videos. He reports that there is some lagging on games, but it's not too bad. He said that it shows movies/videos really well with no issues. He also likes the night light mode & eye saver mode. Read more
