Crisp Picture and Easy Streaming in a No-Fuss Package This 43-inch Samsung Smart LED TV has been a solid addition to my setup. The picture quality is sharp and clean, even though it’s “just” 1080p—it still delivers crisp images and vibrant colors that don’t leave me missing 4K. Streaming apps load quickly, and the built-in Wi-Fi has been reliable. Setup was straightforward, and the interface is easy enough to navigate without getting bogged down in extra menus. The TV is slim and looks neat mounted on the wall. Sound is decent for built-in speakers—clear enough for everyday viewing, though for movies I prefer pairing it with a soundbar. One thing I noticed is that it runs best with a strong internet connection; weaker Wi-Fi signals can cause some lag when streaming. Bottom line: A reliable and easy-to-use smart TV with great picture quality for its class—perfect for anyone wanting a simple, dependable setup without overpaying for features they don’t need. I Bought this for My Dad & he loves it.... he is impressed with the picture & sound quality. I set the TV up for him & tested it, so I got to know the TV pretty well... This is a solid high quality TV, the TV is pretty basic overall... yet impressive to watch regardless. I think the picture quality is excellent & the sound gets no complaints from me, IMO to expect anything better is unreasonable, the only way to get noticeably better would be to add a soundbar or surround sound set up. The remote is laid out in a user friendly fashion, the buttons are big enough & easy to read....so it gets a thumbs up. The TV is easy to set up, it walks you through the process quickly enough & before you know it you are connected & watching TV. Any negatives? The only potential problem is.... it has just 2 HDMI inputs, but that is a "problem" that is easy fixed by adding an HDMI 4X input selector switch/w remote.... that is if you even need more than two.... my dad doesn't need more HDMI plug in's so it was not a problem for us. IMO this is a great deal... the price is about the lowest I have ever seen for a 50 in. TV..... and this is a Samsung! I think this is a five star product that is set at a "can't be beat" price - ***** Highly Recommended! IMPORTANT UPDATE - I bought this for my dad for fathers day.... 3-4 days after the fact, he told me about it turning itself off & going dark in the middle of the night, and so I dug into the reviews and discovered that this is a common issue.... and many have returned their TV's believing them to be defective.... Well after studying the situation to determine whether or not I needed to return ours....I surmised that it may be an issue with the settings, as there are setting for backlight auto dimming & Eco off ect… So I went in & turned them all off.... And the problem has been resolved, now the TV Stays on & it doesn't get dark. So, I hope this can help others resolve simular issues they might have before they return their Tv's …. I was pretty close to returning ours!.... had the return label printed out n ready to go! lol Read more

Good price for a 50-inch TV. Bright, vibrant colors, and clear display. Exactly the high quality you'd expect from Samsung electronics. My only (minor) issues: - Every time I turn TV on (or it gets automatically turned on because a connected HDMI device is activated, cool feature btw), there is this annoying pop-up menu for selecting a built-in TV app or something. I never use this, and I either have to wait for the menu to disappear after several seconds or manually close the menu myself by pressing RETURN on the remote. I'd rather this menu never pop up at all. - The TV has built-in Wi-Fi (and apps), which is nice, but during Wi-Fi setup, there is a completely irrational password length limit that makes no sense whatsoever. My Wi-Fi network has a long password (over 32 characters, don't ask), and I can't connect to it on this TV because the password entry field has a hard limit for the length of characters you can type. I dunno the exact limit, but it's obviously less than 32 characters. Why this is a thing bamboozles me as they should have just followed the specification on what the maximum password length is for Wi-Fi connections, but whatever I don't use my TV for Wi-Fi anyway, so it's a minor issue (I have a connected Fire TV for streaming, and at least THAT device allows for >32 length Wi-Fi network passwords). I bought the 40 inch model of this TV for our bedroom. It is a fantastic tv, once you adjust the default settings. Out of the box, the sharpness was turned up way too high, but lowering it improved the picture quality to what I expected. After my adjustments, the picture was stunning. My wife said it was like the people on the screen are in the room with you. The clarity is amazing. This tv features a setup routine similar to a smartphone. I was attracted to this TV due to the large sort-of triangle-shaped stand (the one pictured in the photo). I am not a fan of the new style of legs on other tvs, with tiny inverted v-shape legs at the corners of the bottom of the tv. They look unstable to me, and in a house with kids, I did not want to take a chance. So this tv was perfect, as the stand is very stable. I have no concerns about it falling over. The one thing I failed to realize about this tv's stand is how deep the stand is. Due to its depth from front to back, you need about 2 feet of space on whatever surface you place this tv on. Essentially, a one inch thick tv becomes 2 feet thick in terms of occupied space. In fact, the depth of the stand forces the tv to sit far out away from the wall. Overall, the picture quality of this tv is fantastic. Its unfortunate that the stand makes the tv occupy so much space, but then again, it is the style of stand for which I was looking. I would not hesitate to buy another if I had the need. Read more
