Bought mine for a Mac mini 2012, works great, speeds up the system, no issues so far, very easy to install, great customer service if you need help. I even find with the extra ram my mini doesn’t get as hot as it did before, like with the standard 4gb, but take this with a grain of salt, I also installed an ssd and hybrid drive so that might also be helping the over processing and heating up. I haven’t test it with gaming, but have with photo editing and video editing software works great (any limitation I found were more with the old system not the ram hardware). I would recommend, if you are having issue with your system being slow, even with these being installed, getting a cache/ram refresher app, to periodically recycle the unused ram, and even a hard disc cleaner/ monitor. Tried to upgrade a MacBookPro9,2 (Mid 2012 Macbook Pro) with OWC memory modules (2 X 8GB) but there was nothing but problems, boot looping, errors in the CPU, freezing profile, permanent beach ball, etc. Cleared out the PRAM and the NVRAM and still had issues with this Mac. I thought it was a logic board issue initially. Then I tried searching around Amazon, and found these modules from Samsung for a cheaper price. Ran through the installation which took about 15 minutes and fired it up and Mojave MacOS fired right up and saw the modules without any issues! It's been running for a week now and it's so much faster than before. Thank you Samsung for another quality product! Read more

Samsung RAM is the best you can get and is an excellent value. My day to day computer is a mid2012 Macbook Pro running the current version of MacOS Sonoma (patched). Increasing the RAM from 8GB to 16GB made it run more smoothly. I'm very satified with the purchase. Read more

I was hesitant to buy as many conflicting reviews are out on the internet......the mid 2012 Macbook Pro...... does it take 16GB RAM (even though Apple says it only will accept a maximum of 8GB)? The answer is YES, the mid 2012 Macbook Pro model A1278 will accept 16GB RAM..... and it uses it!! I installed this 16 gig upgrade package and it recognized the full 16 gig, then I tested it by opening many-many programs until "activity monitor" was showing 11GB RAM in use!! Was afraid it would cap off at 8, but it didn't!! This is monumental as I use Logic Pro and with only 4 gig was having problems. Now everything is working perfect and my laptop runs better than when it was new!! Well worth the money for this upgrade!! Very Happy!! Read more
