I like my Samsung Smart TV. It has been six weeks since I have made my purchase and things are excellent. This is my first HDTV and it appears I found a real good bargain. I am extremely pleased with everything so far, so please bear with me as I try to inform you on my experience and convince you to buy this TV. Try and remember that I am a novice writing a review ( so be nice). Setup. It should of took me less than an hour, but I was nervous I had cables connected in the wrong location etc. Amazon.com has Tech support in case anyone needs assistance. I needed help, I contacted Amazon's online chat service and was given the number to the technical support staff. They were knowledgeable and provided valuable assistance they have experience with all types of electronics/ gadgets/and gizmo's etc. I also had to contact my ISP, but that was to inquire about my HDMI cable. It took some time, but I had my set on the same day I got it home. Looking back setup was way too easy. It was a lot of stuff to process, I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning. The Picture, Sound, Specs, etc. Look I am not going to try and pass my self off as some experienced technical guru. I have two remotes, one from Samsung and the other from my ISP. I am learning how to use the e-manual that comes with this TV, the e-manual aids in adjusting the picture and volume etc. You don't need to hire a technician/ the Geek Squad etc, to come to your home to calibrate this TV. I'm pleased with my picture, but then again maybe I have a high threshold for pain.( Trust me you can do this.) The Smart TV. This is a blast I love this feature, I get Amazon Prime, YouTube, Netflix, plus much more. You can also try the 30 free trial versions of some of these programs. At times it is a headache switching from one remote (my ISP) to the Samsung remote, but to me this a small inconvenience. Shipping. I have Amazon Prime the delivery was handled by USPS. There was a slight mix up with this, USPS attempted a delivery and I was not at home. I had to go to the post office to pick this up. I share the blame in that regard. The Antenna. I bought an antenna for this HDTV. I bought the MOHU Leaf50 amplified HDTV antenna. I disconnected the cable and hooked up the MOHU antenna and watched television all night. This antenna has a 50 mile range, I live in New Jersey close to New York city so all I can say is I pulled in some great reception, very nice- incredible pictures good viewing. I hooked up my cable the next day. Final Comments: Buy this TV!! On a personal level my one comment is this: I usually read 100 reviews before I buy a product. This 32 inch TV cost me $479.00. I dug deep to try and find better products, cheaper reviews etc, but in the end this was my choice. I spent 3/4 months searching for a nice television. I am happy. Also I purchased a warranty from SquareTrade.com for 3 years. The website Wirecutter.com was also extremely useful regarding this purchase because of their reviews and other Information they put out there. I hope this review can help Amazon.com consumers, I failed to mention that the majority of reviews that I read as usual were from Amazon. com Good Luck with your purchase. Read more

This is a great tv. Pros: The colors are really good and and the screen gets pretty bright, so it's great for daytime viewing. At night, you'll want to lower the brightness if you don't want a tan. The smart features work great and the tv is pretty fast, fast enough for it not to be an issue. I haven't noticed any blur or judder, but I'm not particularly looking for it. Supposed be 120 Hz panel. Contrast is really good, perfect during the daytime. At nighttime, the blacks are really dark. Unless you require perfection, it's not an issue. 9 times out 10, I've found the limiting factor to be the movie or show. The speakers are pretty good full-range speakers. Surprisingly good lower end for their size. I have surround sound, but I'd be fine with just the tv speakers. They get pretty loud too. This tv does support HDMI arc, or whatever its called, where it uses the input hdmi cable to output sound to the receiver, if your receiver supports it. Otherwise there's optical like all other tvs. Cons: Screen glare. It doesn't have a matte finish so anything behind you gets reflected (windows, lights, etc). Screen is bright enough to where it only affects dark scenes. If the movie is mostly dark scenes, you may want to watch it at night. Black levels aren't gonna be charcoal like an OLED. Of course this should be expected. It is an LCD tv. The blacks are more of a really dark gray, but this is improved by lowering the brightness of the tv. Also, bias lighting might make it completely unnoticeable. Haven't tried it though. I'll update this if I do. Note: Only at night in a really dark room will you notice the black levels not being pure black, and I've also noticed that what I at first thought was the limitations of the tv was actually the limitations of what was recorded. Ex: "Jeeze, why are these nighttime scenes so gray?", Ans: That's how it was filmed. Outside the film, the tv's blacks are much darker. Conclusion: I love this tv and I do not regret buying it. It's BIG with a beautiful picture. Now that I've gotten use to the size, I don't want anything smaller. My biggest complaint is the screen glare. It can be really annoying. Other than that, I highly recommend this tv and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Read more

I bought my Samsung 55inch TV in February of 2016. I decided to wait at least one year before I write any reviews on 'big ticket' items because I bought a top of the line whirlpool washer and dryer two years ago, I wrote great reviews for them and now I'm stuck with two oversized white boxes of junk in my laundry room. Whirlpool still refuses to reply to all of my emails!! I will never buy that brand again. HOWEVER.... I have never been disappointed with Samsung in the past, and that continues to this day; So much so, that I am placing a new order for the Samsung home entertainment system right now. And my next purchase after that will be a new Samsung smart TV for my bedroom. I digress. My Samsung UN55J6300 is GREAT. So far this has been the best piece of electronic equipment that I have ever purchased. After 14 months it is still operating perfectly. Never a single problem. I have flawlessly connected several other devices to it: my Samsung cell phones, my dell computer, a dvd player, my sons computer, my girlfriends iPhone.... so far everything connects without any problems. I wont go into the TV's specs because you can read all of that in the description provided. I understand that a TV can be damaged in transit or storage, so I truly believe that any of the problems that other people have had is probably due to something outside of the control of Samsung. And no, I am not an employee of Samsung and I don't own any of their stock. Nor am I getting paid to give them a good review. Overall.... The picture and sound quality are outstanding. I have no complaints, and I have been telling my family and friends about my Samsung experiences for the last year. I HIGHLY recommend this brand. Read more
