Look, CompactFlash may not be the new hotness—but for certain DSLRs, video rigs, or embedded systems, it’s still the most dependable format in the game. And this SanDisk 32GB Extreme CF card? Straight up the gold standard for when your files matter and failure is not an option. I’ve run this in: A Canon 5D Mark III (yes, it’s still a beast) A Blackmagic Pocket Camera setup A logic analyzer that insists on CF because it was built in the George W. era Speeds are consistent. It actually hits the advertised 120MB/s read and ~85MB/s write in real-world testing (not just synthetic benchmarks). Perfect for RAW photo bursts, 1080p video recording, or even high-speed logging. What I Like: UDMA 7 support = no bottlenecks on supported cameras Rock-solid durability—resistant to temperature swings, drops, and the occasional backpack apocalypse 32GB sweet spot: large enough for long shoots, small enough for safe file rotation (yes, that’s still a thing) SanDisk’s reliability is still unmatched in this space—never had one corrupt on me What Could Be Better: Pricing is a little premium—but you’re paying for mission-critical reliability, not bulk storage Still no write-protect switch (why, CF gods?) CF readers are rare these days—make sure you’ve got a good USB 3.0 adapter Read more
Super fast speeds for an old standard. My use was for an old desktop, so the computer was the limiting factor instead of the disk’s read/write speed. As a trusted brand known for reliability at a great price, this was a no-brainer. I only deduct a star for the packaging - seemingly every usb, flash disk, etc these days comes in packaging that is nearly impossible to open without scissors. This product is no different. Read more

Purchased this card over 5 years ago (among others) and it has worked perfectly up until today where it failed. Luckily I was only grabbing a photo of my son and his girlfriend and not a client session but I will continue trusting this brand that has kept me shooting memories for over a decade. Read more
