This sweater is an excellent wardrobe staple, and it covers many bases. It is not likely anyone will stop you on the street to exclaim what an awesome sweater you have on. But they might whisper to their friends how awesome you look and probably envy the tasteful and elegant way you dress. The sweater is partly wool and is very soft and not itchy. I have worn it both over a blouse and a thin turtleneck as well as with just a camisole underneath. It is thin enough to be worn alonein shoulder seasons, but also can be layered for cooler weather. I think my favorite thing about this sweater is the fit, which is perfect on me. I ordered a medium and I’m 5’5” and 138lbs with a larger chest area. It fits close enough to my body to have shape but does not actually cling anywhere - making it look really tailored and attractive. In my experience it is rare to find this - most are either baggy or clingy. Also, I’m very long waisted, and this one is blessedly long enough to cover all the real estate I have in the torso without revealing “flesh belt” when I raise my arms. I’m not a fan of cropped garments, and this is not one. I ordered the black, and it is a nice, soft, true black. It gets demerits for “ hand wash only”. I’ve not washed it yet, but will probably machine wash on delicate in a lingerie bag - because handwashing isn’t on my list of things to do these days. I do that with all but my very best cashmere, and it seems to work out fine. All in all, this is a great, classic sweater that is a must have wardrobe staple, especially at this price point. Couldn’t tell you how a basic sweater got me so many compliments but it did! Soft and fits comfortably. The color I got was a little see through but that’s fine I love the color and wore a similar tank underneath and was fine. I’ve washed it 4-5 times now without it shrinking. As I get older I prefer solid color and simple shirts over anything with words and as critical as I am on myself I felt like I felt beautiful in this! Read more

This Sangtree Womens Crewneck Wool Pullover Sweater is a cute top. It's lightweight and thin, good for layering. It's soft and feels good against my skin. I have one almost identical to it, just a different color, so i obviously like the style. The fit is ok. I wish i had gone up one size from my usual size, just because I like a more relaxed fit, but my normal size of Medium is fine. Although a tiny bit shorter than I expected/ hoped. That's not to say it's cropped or anything like that, it's not. I just prefer tops that come down over my hips, and this one sits right along the waistband of my jeans. And that's fine, it still looks cute. This sweater is quite versatile as well, especially the neutral colors. You can wear it alone with jeans, or put a button up dress shirt with a collar underneath and wear it with a skirt. Or throw a blazer on over it and pair with dress pants or a nice pair of jeans. I'm 139lbs 34c, got this in Large thinking it might be slightly oversized but, it is not. It fits like a Medium. The sleeves are a good length but, it is short lengthwise and keeps creeping up. Not really soft (the wool) and very lightweight. I thought it would be at least a little warm. I got Brown, which is a nice, rich color. I don't usually buy anything that has to be hand washed, so for the price, there are better options, in my opinion. If you're short- waisted it would be fine. Read more

This is a lightweight, slightly fitted sweater. I ordered the small and I’m 5’3, 125lbs, 33” chest and 27” waist. The material is slightly stretchy. So far it washes up nicely (despite being hand wash only) I just make sure to lay it flat to air dry. I don’t think it would hold up to the dryer very long. It’s comfortable to wear and flattering. I needed a Holiday color for a party this past weekend and it worked out perfectly. One of the things I hate the most in this world is a itchy sweater. This one is not! It also didn't strangle my neck either and make me hot, it sat nice on my neck. Its not that Christmas red, but more of a maroon-ish color which matched better with the shoes I wore. I just washed it and it didn't shrink or run...also a plus. I wish I would have taken a photo it looked really nice on and fit well, the only complaint I have is that the sleeves are a little big on the end of the arms. Nice sweater and is quite thin, which I don't mind, as I can get overheated in thicker sweaters. I got the size small, and it fits more like extra small. The color looks the same as the pictures. This sweater isn't scratchy at all. For reference, I am 4'11, 106 lbs, 32 chest, 25 waist. Read more
