This corded vacuum works great on our hardwood floors and a few area rugs. It is light weight, has good suction, and is able to easily go under furniture. The attachments work well for dusting or long reaches. The cord is long so the vacuum goes easily from room to room with no plug-in change. I can't believe the low price for this small but mighty vacuum. The one drawback is the cord is not retractable, but winds on the bottom of the vac which is inconvenient. So I bundle it and use a strong twisty tie to keep it together, and the cord lies next to the vac in the closet. That works fine considering all the other pluses of this vacuum. It is a great replacement for our old cannister Electrolux and works about as well! Read more

What a great vacuum! I have purchased 3 of these and they have great suction, are easy to roll, and last long. And easy to change bag. Highly recommend! Read more

The best money I've spent on Amazon. It is loud but it really cleans. I can pickup this small lightweight vacuum and carry it up and down my stairs with no problem. I'm in my 70s and this is important. Really long cord is great. My husband will steal it to clean his truck. Read more

I like this a lot. It has strong suction, sturdy accessories, an expandable wand for reaching high places (vacuuming dust off the top of curtains and rods). It has a great crevice tools that gets into the corners of the window sill and other tight places. It is light enough to hold with one hand, even for my wife. She doesn't like that it lacks motorized wheels in the brush head to help move it along the carpet on the stairs, but its is still easier to use than balancing the upright vacuum on the stairs. I am keeping the vacuum in the impending divorce, she doesn't appreciate nice things! Read more

There are probably other better ones for the price, and I would have preferred an auto-rewind cord, but things like that add to weight and space. This is a very small device, but has great suction that is adjustable by the one potentially annoying part in the handle that keeps pinching my hand or getting inadvertently "adjusted," but another reviewer had already pointed that out. It doesn't bother me that much. It travels well over bumps and when it gets wound up on itself with the really nicely lengthy hose/attachment parts. Getting the "corners" of the bag set in is a little mysterious. There are four corners, but apparently only two get tucked in? Seems to work--no dust has gotten scattered on the inside. Again, I must be getting used to this kind of thing in products--less than user-friendly, less quality driven. I got a reusable bag; we'll see how that goes. So far, even with the bags seemingly almost full, it's still pulling stuff into it. All in all, it's five stars, because again, I knew what I was getting and am well satisfied with it. If it lasts without breakage, I'll be more than pleased with the purchase. Read more

Really wish we'd read and focused on the 1-star reviews before buying this because they pretty much sum up our experience. This machine does SUCK, but not as it should. Used it the first time and all was well. The second time, not so much--thinking the hose was clogged, we reamed it out with a coat hanger, but there was no obstruction. Okay...so we plugged up the "suction control" hole with tape...still nothing. This machine just DOES NOT WORK. We'd had another Sanitaire and it worked great for about 10 years before the motor failed. We figured it was easier/cheaper to simply buy another vacuum and this was supposed to be a "better" version of what we'd had. Nope. So here we are five months after purchasing it (we obviously don't vacuum that often...today was only our third time trying to use this and we do have another one for "regular" use) and there's no recourse. Stuck with a plastic piece of trash that will now unfortunately end its short life in a landfill. Not good. ALSO, when it runs it has a horrible high-pitched sound that bothers not just us but our 9 cats. (Yes, 9 cats...so we definitely need a capable vacuum, which this is NOT.) Stay away from this item and spend a little more on a better one. FTR our "regular" vacuum is a Eureka Mighty Mite that I purchased in 1996 and it is still working perfectly. They just don't make 'em like they used to, I guess. Read more

Powerful enough for pulling cat litter out of grooved hardwood floors, hurray! Lightweight enough to carry around, swap heads easily from hardwood to smaller car-type-attachment for thicker spills, a great little vacuum. I had bought the similar Eureka and it broke in no time, what junk that was, and I had believed in Eureka for so so long! No longer, so I went searching for something made NOT in China. I found this, and decided to gamble on it, for my hardwood floors with dogs and cats and stairs and ranch life messes. It works perfectly for all of this. Around my litter-box "furniture"the litter spills out and into the hardwood. This sucks it all right up, though I usually change to the smaller "concentrated power" head for that (like for car floorboards). I can carry it easily, it is light weight. It does seem to be all plastic, that is both disappointing and a benefit to making it light weight. I will be surprised though if it lasts 5 years, if it does I will update! I am very happy with this machine, it does the job, fast to change bags. If anyone can recommend a made in USA or Europe vacuum like this one, please write a headline in all caps telling us! Read more
